“Beware of the confusing terms and conditions!”

★★☆☆☆

written by Joff on 14/06/2015

I booked a flight for my mother-in-law. However, knowing that we might have to change flights or even cancel the flight, we took advantage of paying the additional supplement for full flex! This, we thought, refunded 90% of the costs!

sadly, due to personal reasons, we had to cancel the flight and then we were instructed that the 90% refund is by way of a voucher, not monies and it must be used within 12 months with Bravo flights! OK, I could have sworn when the booking was made that it did not mention vouchers until a booking confirmation was sent but that, in all honesty is not my main beef!

It is the way they calculated the 90% which to me, is a complete sham. I was charged a total of 368.56 Euros when booking and I have received a voucher for the sum of 276.98 Euros. Almost 100 Euros less and by my calculations, they should have sent a voucher for 331.71 Euros and underpay of 54.73 Euros!

I have pasted their terms and conditions which to me and others I have asked, suggested that it includes all costs: An exact copy of the conditions:

Thanks to your Full Flex Package you can now relax knowing that;

a) should you need to cancel your reservation for any reason, we will refund you 90% of the original ticket price (includng taxes and a deduction of Full Flex Assistance Package and any administrative incurred at the time of booking) in the form of a voucher. A voucher can only be issued if you advise us up to 48 hours prior to your flight departure. Your voucher is valid for 12 months from issue date and can be used to book another flight on our website.

b) should you need to modify or cancel your reservation you will not be charged our standard handling fees.

The word INCLUDING in item a clearly suggests that it includes all other costs, not just the flight. So buyers beware - it pays to go directly to the main airline even if they are a bit more expensive!
