My son and I planned a trip to New York and booked both flights and hotel through BookIt.com. While the flight arrangements and hotel were fine, we were sent an e-mail a week or so before our vacation asking if we would like to get tickets for a Broadway show. I purchased two tickets for "Lion King" and the charges were promptly billed to my credit card. A few days before the performance, I was contacted and told that there really were no tickets for the time that we had purchased. I was offered a different night which did not fit our plans or a refund. I accepted the refund and scrambled to find tickets for the time we had originally planned. I was surprised to learn that I could get tickets for the performance. BookIt.com indicated that they purchased tickets from a third party vendor and didn't realize that there were no tickets available. Mind you, they had already charged my credit card. They indicated that I would have to wait a few weeks for the charges to be reversed. After complaining, they reversed the charges in approximately one week. I have reported them for Internet fraud since they effectively sold and charged me for something that they did not have. Beware!
