I got Multi-Trade in because they'd emailed (spammed, in fact) a very reasonable looking offer on a boiler service. And it was okay. Sure they were late, but the service was fine and they honoured their promise of knocking a bit off the bill for the lateness. Why the one-star review then? Well, it's a case of true identity and strange coincidences. The plumber, a decent enough seeming chap, turned up in a Serviceteam liveried van, wearing Serviceteam branded overalls. The reason that's odd is Serviceteam was the company that did work at my property a couple of years ago that ended up causing thousands of pounds worth of damage. They promised to honour their guarantee, but after months of prevarication disappeared off the face of the earth. Turns out, if you check the public records, Multi-Trade Property Services is to all intents and purposes the very same company. Same managers, same employees, same website, even the same dubious reviews saying how great they are and proudly claiming credit for jobs carried out as Serviceteam several years ago, before Multi-Trade existed. Serviceteam passed on everything to Multi-Trade, including (illegally) customer lists and testimonials, thus explaining why I got the spam email. Suffice to say, having extensively looked into the background of Multi-Trade and in light of my experience with them in their previous incarnation, I would never knowingly use these people again. They've already proven their work is of low quality and, when it comes down to it, their guarantees are worthless. And the company is registered to a service address (ie not a real office) in Finchley, so good luck tracking them down if you did need to.
