Recently made a claim for my 10 year old Golden Retriever who had treatment for an ear infection. My claim was declined, and I was made to feel like a criminal because I had not disclosed that a similar infection had occurred when she was 6 months old. I phoned the 0845 number and spoke to a human machine who constantly repeated herself and never answered a question. I was told in medical terms my dogs history and when I asked what they meant had to wait for a time to get the layman's explanation. It would seem that Petplan class an ear infection as an illness or injury!!!! Considering the premium of £371 (£75 excess plus 20%) is more than it costs to insure my car, van or house I am turning down their GENEROUS offer to allow the policy to continue with an ever decreasing cover. Not a bad deal for someone!

Unfortunately Pet Insurance isnt anything like car insurance! If this customer had read the policy terms and conditions it clearly states that any previous conditions wont be covered. Pet Plan policies are expensive but you get what you pay for. They cover for life as long as there are no previous conditions for the treatment you want to claim. It is important to insure with one company and not swap and change when its time to renew the policy. If this dog was insured with Pet Plan from the dog being a puppy, (Im assuming she wasnt) there would have been no issue.
From a very satisfied Pet Plan customer.
