I ordered some flowers, for the 1st wedding anniversary of my son and daughter-in-law. I paid extra for the deluxe flowers and a vase and I was given the impression that the flowers would be lovingly arranged in the vase.

I also wrote a message to be accompanied with the flowers, I was given the impression that this message would be written on a card suitable for a first wedding anniversary, especially as I had chosen anniversary flowers.

After receiving an email, to say the flowers had been delivered to the home of my son and daughter-in-law, I expected to receive a phone call from them, thanking me. This is something they have always done, when they've received gifts or cards.

When I didn't hear anything, I telephoned my daughter-in-law to ask had she received the flowers, she thanked me, but told me that she didn't know who sent them, because there was no card with the flowers.

My daughter-in-law sent me a photograph of the flowers and they didn't look nice at all.

I spoke to my son and asked him about the condition of the flowers and he said, they had to throw half of the flowers away, because they were dead. He said they weren't going to tell me, because they didn't want to upset me. I asked him if they'd been arranged in the vase when they came and he said no, they came in a box and my daughter-in-law, arranged them in the vase, the best way she could.

I told my son that I had also expected a card to accompany the flowers and he said there was none. He looked in the box and he found a piece of paper, with an offer of 10% of another purchase. He turned over the piece of paper and my message was written on the back of it.

I normally buy flowers from Interflora and I've never had problems with their service. I'm so upset with the shoddy service from Serenata, that I'm going to send some more flowers to my son and daughter-in-law, only this time, I'll be using Interflora.

I've also emailed Serenata and registered my disgust with them.
