While checking my Christmas receipts today I noticed the invitation by House of Frazer to assess my visit. Since I have told all my friends about what happened I think you should have the opportunity to respond.
On 29/11/12 I went to Thomas Pink to buy a shirt ande tie for my husband. I settled on particular shirt and asked the salesperson for advice on selecting a coordinating tie. I was rather taken aback when he said that he couldn't help as it was a matter of personal choice. Surely that is his role (in fact the receipt did state he was Stephen Sales Adviser). I could have understood this if I had gone to Marks and Spencer's where customers do not expect help.
To compound matters when I mentioned that a Thomas Pink tie which I had purchased last year had become puckered and didn't sit properly I was informed that I was not buying a mass-produced tie from Taiwan but a hand made article!!
I was neither demanding nor impolite but I consider the salesperson's behaviour to be unhelpful and rude.
