As someone who is weary of online shopping and scammers, I was hesitant to buy a fairly expensive backpack from a site than was not the official company.Especially since I don't do a lot of online shopping! However, do not let this deter you! Mykankenbag.com (used to I love my kanken)have a great site where there is a variety of Kankens to choose from and the payment process was very easy!

Due to the popularity of my order, it was out of stock but I could pre order it. I bought a pre-order on the 31st August and was immediately emailed with the transaction being sucessful and was emailed the receipt. I was really excited for this backpack and after two days, was anxious to know when it would be here so I contacted their customer service.

They got back to me pretty quick! In a day or two which I don't consider so bad since I can imagine they must receive a lot of inquiries. I was told when they would be in stock and when my purchase would be dispatched. Since I live in the UK, my order would be delivered by Royal Mail. Personally, I think the whole delivery system was great as I could check up on the royal mail site where my order was from the day of being dispatched.

Today I received my backpack (it's the 6th August. So it took a week! Not bad!) and it's exactly what I wanted. Kanken backpack in classic in the colour Ochre. It looks great and is good quality. It came flat and in double plastic packaging. The front pocket is quite wrinkled but I reckon, due to the material, that it will flatten out with use.

I'm using this backpack for school however and because I like to carry a lot (doing A Levels) I would recommend for others in the same situation to consider a bag of a bigger size such as the 13" laptop or Maxi. The Classic is universal size and I can definitely still use it for days when I have less to carry!

Only queries with the bag:

The side pockets aren't that great. I'm used to my Karrimor backpack with the stretchy side pockets. I can just about fit a small umbrella in the side pocket but it takes room in the inside too. I will have to purcahse a slim water bottle too since I would prefer not to have the waterbottle inside. Maybe Fjallraven could consider coming out with a line that has better side pockets to maximise space?

I struggled to put much stuff in the front pocket as it's quite a tight fit and I could barely reach my hand in. FTW: I don't have big hands!

If this is your first time buying a Kanken bag (as it is for me) the zips might be bit of a fuss due to the shape of the bag. When I first tried to unzip the bag, I had to fold the material covering the zips back a little to try and get it to move. Now it's moving a lot better so I think it just takes some getting used to using the bag.

OVERALL! It's a great bag. Can't wait to use it for school and hikes. If there's anyone out there that is stuck between Warm Yellow and Ochre, Ochre is still a fairly yellow colour but more on the mustard muted side. I think it will depend on your preference on how bright you want your bag to be as Warm Yellow is a very bright yellow.

Now I'm just waiting for some pins to add to my Kanken!

Spent £95 in Thornaby shop teesside when got home realised I picked wrong size up went back to store did not have item in asked for refund was told has to be a exchange or on gift card was not told this I worked in retail for 35 years and think this return policy if rubbish refund should be offered until 28 days , if I orders on like could send back and get refund on card I paid for , phoned customer service they rubbish as well all she said was will let me supervisor know! she didn't even ask my name ? very poor customer service will not be shopping in store again after spent gift card ,

I lived in HK and the shipment was received in 5 days after order. Goods was received in perfect condition. Prices of the products are much cheaper than HK's. Will sure recommend my friends to do the purchase from Kanken.

Package was well packed and the item is in good condition. Tracking number is given, so I could easily track the status of the bag. The package took around 7 working days to reach which is considered fast.

The bag is big and spacious for my laptop and notes!

I will consider to get another kanken bag!

I decided to get this ocean green Kanken Classic Backpack for my sister's 21st Birthday since she's been using random backpacks she got at cheap prices online. I wanted to get some good, sturdy and trendy for her and Kanken seem to have been the right choice.

The bag was delivered within a week from ordering which in my opinion was pretty fast considering the fact that it need to be shipped to southeast asia. The bag was in good condition and my sister like it a lot.

It brings me joy to know that I made the right choice to buy this backpack from Kanken and without a doubt I would be interested in getting one for myself in the near future.

Received the item within the period of time as promised (From UK to Malaysia). Very satisfied with the goods quality! The only thing i could said is that the strips is a little bit short for me to carry as back pack.

Bought 5 bags in total. The site was easy to navigate with awesome promotions. The bags came quite quickly and were in good condition.

The bags themselves were lovely. However there was some difference in the colors of the bags online. E. G. Mini and original in peach pink were of different colors on the website.

Was able to use it for my Labour day staycation with my girlfriends. I'll get Kankens for my boys when they start going to primary school. It has super useful pockets, is lightweight, and washable!!
