Cheapest prices false

The motorcycle quote that came out the cheapest was Swinton. It appeared to have all the same cover as nearest others.

I then received a text message the next day from Swinton to phone if I wanted to accept the quote. This I did that day having wanted time to think about it overnight, I was going to buy online that night after work but after the text at work thought I might as well do it then.

I was then asked for the details all over agian ! I gave them and was asked (I felt pressured ) into buying other bits for the policy, this I repeatedly declined but it was appeared to be an attempt to hard sell the price up which I did not like.

After declining the 'extras'I was given a summary of the policy, (this was now taking much longer than if I had completed it online), I was then horrified that the final price had gone up by £30 odd pounds !! I asked why the price was different to the internet quote and was told that there was a charge for filling in my appication (I had done all this online and was not told in the text or when I started the phone call that they would charge me for details they already had online !!), and something else had automatically been added !!

This meant that the price was now not the cheapest by quite a way but as I had spent so long on the phone, was at work and needed cover that day I had to go ahead.

I then found out when the policy arrived that there was a cancellation charge which continued for 6 months into the policy if I sold the bike and cancelled.

I will definitely not use this again and certainly never Swinton.
