We Used this company to recycle our iPhone 4 and 4s after noticing their excellent offer.
Our phones were in really good condition after two years of always having screen protectors and skins. We photographed them to verify the condition and sent them off. After a few days we had an email from iGadgets to say the 4 had moisture damage and the 4s had marks around the cowling?? and the offer price had finished by the time our phones had arrived.
The prices they offered were substantially lower than the original offer. I asked if we could pick the phones up from their offices but they refused and said we would have to pay for the return postage in line with the agreement.We then received an email saying they would up their offer. We refused and again asked for the phones to be returned. They again emailed and increased the offer. We decided at this stage to reluctantly accept, saving ourselves any further hassle.
It is worth considering whether this is a regular practise before using this company to recycle your gadgets.
I have passed the information to the local trading standards office in case others are experiencing the same thing.
