David Lloyd newcastle is literally the worst gym i have ever been too.

The staff are arrogant and unhelpful, the costumers are entitled and think money buys everything, the facilities are terrible value for money and there is no other way to describe the facility as rubbish.

I go to the gym to train, it seems the costumers go to david lloyd for the cafe to gossip about who's life isn't going to plan, what they have just bought on credit and how horrible their children are.

The facilities may be expensive and high tech, but the families membership (which is used predominantly by middle aged women who don't want to look after their own children) means that the gym is constantly full of children who misuse every machine in the gym as it seems simultaneously, play football on the tennis courts and use the pool as some kind of child colosseum: fighting with swimming noodles. On top of these basic negligence by the staff. The costumers are rude and quite frankly pathetic, using the pool for hydrotherapy after a severe back injury turned out to be a nightmare, 3 times children has fowled the pool (yes 3 times) this meant that the pool was out of service for at least 24 hours with no otology from the staff.

David Lloyd Leisure is over priced and full of pit falls for the average person.

A monthly membership is almost 100 pounds a month and even if you use the gym on a daily basis this is a horrible value for money, help from any of the staff is extortionately expensive charging nearly 100 pounds for a session and even asking for basic help midway through the workout: forget it. The personal trainers at this gym are more concerned with how their hair looks than someone nearly dropping a olympic bar on their neck.

However it seems that even once you have paid for a membership and been severely disappointed with the club, you at first are relieved that you do not have to go back to the place, you get harassing letters telling you unless you pay for however long it has been since the end of the membership you will be fined and potentially prosecuted.

Hidden in the small print of the terms and conditions you have to give 3 months notice before the end of your membership that you don't wish to retain your membership! You would think paying so much for the duration of your membership the club would give you 3 months notice even if its a friendly word or an email, but no. Threatening letters and hidden terms and conditions mean that you have to pay a fine of at least 200 pounds.

I wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone.

Don't go there unless you think I am joking, and if you do you will see me proved right.
