DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

The only reason I give one star is the fact it won’t let me give 0.

DO NOT BUY FROM HOMEDONE!!

I have never met a more incompetent company in my life. This is now being handled by solicitors and the bank. I have pages and pages of evidence against them but I’ll keep it short on here.

Purchased a 3 seater Payton sofa, a 2 seater Payton sofa and a footstool from Homedone 6/12/25. Was told it would be delivered 17/01/26 which was fine. Got a surprise when on 18/12/24 I got a call, from an unknown mobile number, asking if they could deliver on 24/12/25. We accepted and waited in for it. That’s where the problem started.

The sofa was dragged into our house causing a tear to the bottom front of the two seater. No footstool was included in the order and the delivery guys had no idea about it. When unwrapping the sofas we noticed the tear as well as a number of puncture holes in the three seaters fabric which clearly had been wrapped this way and maybe they hoped we wouldn’t notice. Along with the bare exposed staples and the ill fitting design. The sofa itself looked cheap and thrown together. Stitches pulled under too much strain in some places contrasting with saggy gaping fabric that didn’t fit the structure of the sofa in others.

Contacted Homedone the same day as delivery. 20 mins after in fact. Homedone agreed to the fault and would replace the items. Then weeks went by where we had no answer to emails and their phones were coincidentally down for “upgrades”. We were told things had been dispatched. They hadn’t. Then someone called saying there had been a mix up with invoices. Eventually on 23/01/26, nearly a month later, the footstool showed up. Via Royal Mail of all people, no notice it would be being delivered just left outside. Luckily a neighbour took it in for us. Now I can only describe this footstool as a previously returned item as it was completely split at the seams, cushion wasn’t even attached to the base board, and had been sent to us in a bag made for a three seater sofa.

We then chased Homedone so much that they agreed to have a replacement to us the weekend of 24/01/26. (A month later) I waited in all day and missed a family commitment to be in for the exchange. 2pm I got a call from the driver claiming to be “collecting sofas” I questioned this as it should be replacements and he said “he didn’t have anything on the truck” for me but he would “go check and get back to me”. I then got a call from another unknown number, someone claiming to be from the ‘manufacturer” stating that he “had a conversation with home done” and decided that I “wouldn’t be happy regardless” so “they had decided to just try to collect it and refund instead”. None of this was communicated to me in writing and the gentleman on the phone that spoke to me seemed frustrated when I said he could not collect the sofa without putting it into writing that I would receive a refund. ‘It would be more convenient for us to do it this way” he said. Unprofessional does not begin to cover it. He offered to text me confirmation and unsurprisingly no text came through nor did the delivery driver attempt to come to our house.

Total 28+ calls to Homedone, most unanswered, and countless emails later i eventually got confirmation of a full refund with no deductions and allowed them to take the sofa on 31/01/26. We wrapped the furniture in a better condition than what it had been delivered in. Someone showed up in an unmarked van, with no ID and stated they were “from Homedone”. I took photographs of my personal information he had on his phone as well as the vehicle and them loading it. I emailed proof of collection as well as all the video and photographic evidence I have (which is extensive). Homedone then emailed me to guarantee a refund by 11/02/26. I had called and emailed asking for proof of the refund and never got it. When I called to question where my refund is they themselves move the deadline.

It is now 13/02/26 and I still have no refund and no sofa. Every email or call is met with a copy and pasted message “sorry for the inconvenience, please allow 24-48hrs for it to show in your account”. When I called today to ask again where my refund was, they then lied to me saying the payment had “bounced back” from my account. I immediately called the bank and they said his was not possible. So another lie from Homedone. I am still without a refund and tied to this ridiculous company.

My guessing is they’re waiting for some other poor soul to separate from their hard earned money to be able to afford to refund me mine.

All I can say is, if you like being ripped off, glued to your emails and chasing phone calls then this is the company for you. Disgusting “service” if you can call it that. Tomorrow will be them breaching their own 14 day money back guarantee. I’m not holding my breath but if I have to take them to court I will.

Absolutely shocking

Absolutely Shocking! Ordered a sofa which arrived early December, immediately my sofa was defective. The legs screwd into chip board holders which immediately disintegrated, it couldn't support its own weight let alone a feather! I contacted Home Done who had the sofa picked up on the 19th of December, telling me they would assess the product and issue a refund. Allowing for Christmas I left contact until the 5th of January, bearing in mind I had received no email, refund or any other kind of acknowledgement since the 18th of December. On the 7th of January I had to chase me previous email as clearly nobody could be bothered responding! They then responded saying someone from the depot would be in touch. On the 8th of January I was told I would be issued a full refund in 6 - 10 working days which would mean my refund should have been issued on the 22nd of January a whole month and 2 days since they collected the sofa. Again I had to do all the chasing and was told on the 22nd of January that they apologies but due to a system upgrade they were unable to issue my refund, this would now be another 48 hours. Would not now or ever deal with this Lot! Again. Quick to take your money but that's where tge speed ends. Will be taking this further

Terrible Quality and Even Worse Customer Service

I ordered white gloss units for my clinic, and when they arrived, my builder assembled them—only to discover the quality was absolutely shocking. For something that wasn't cheap, I expected much better. I've been trying to get a refund or exchange since January, but have gotten nowhere. My emails are ignored, and no one is taking any responsibility for the poor-quality products they sent. The customer service has been appalling, and I’ve never experienced such a lack of accountability. I would never buy from this company again—completely disappointed and still furious about the whole experience.

Avoid At All Costs

Where do I start... ordered a sofa set in september 2024 and they turned up with the wrong one and a cheaper version. After alot of phone calls emails ( which they fob you off, empty promises, hanging up the phone or excuses), they admitted they'd made a mistake and would send the sofa that I had ordered and pick the other up. This went on, until November when they finally admitted that they were having manufacturing issues with the sofa I'd ordered and couldn't replace it. I asked for a full refund and they offered me £80 which was refused. Trading standards are aware of this company and are helping me resolve this. They drafted a letter, that I sent, and lo and behold they emailed stating that they'd be coming today (15th January 2025) to pick up and deliver my original sofa. Delivery driver phones to say he's 5 mins away and guess what? He hasn't got the sofa id ordered and then states he isn't picking the one I have up. After a few heated words, they finally came and picked up the sofa that I'd been trying to get them to take back. This company are not worth the hassle and now I'm going to have to wait and see if they will refund me. Trading standards have promised that they will deal with this if it isn't resolved and payment isn't made within the next 14 days... so fingers crossed... will update if this happens

All staff lie they are not fluent at English so it's very difficult to communicate.They sent you damaged items then collect. Then you will never get a refund so you will ne with the item and your money it's a bad company please look at all reviews before you purchase and avoid disappointment like i did

Do Not Buy From This Company

DO NOT BUY from this company. Trail of emails for over 2 months. I paid nearly £260.00 for two sunloungers. Company will refund on one but the other they are gas lighting me too, saying I changed my mind. No you have delivered, faulty goods x 2 not 1. Had enough now handing over to credit card company. Just sent off 33 photos of different faults. Appalling customer service. By far THE WORSE INTERNET service ever received. DO NOT BUY FROM HOME DONE.

I wish HOME DONE had sent me the product they advertised that was worth the money I paid. Had I have known I was buying a poor quality faulty product I would never have handed over my money.

Avoid - Damaged Sofa They Will Not Replace.

AVOID - worst service ever. They gaslight you.

Sofa damaged when delivered. They initially agreed with me as I had sent through evidence. Now they say it wasn't damaged, and they have ignored me consistently as I have sought a remedy.

I've been trying to get this sorted for nearly 1.5 years. They now say it's a new issue, and their policy says they won't accept new complaints after 1.5 years.

Beware - Terrible Company

BEWARE - TERRIBLE COMPANY AND THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I have never experienced anything like this before. I purchased a very expensive wardrobe with 2 hanging rails. They delivered it and assembled it but the delivery person said the warehouse operative only put in 1 hanging rail, just call customer service and they will send it out in a few days.

I called them and they informed me they cannot help; it all has to be done on an online form. I completed the online form which started an email chain which would last over 4 months and around 60 emails. I was mostly liaising with an agent who informed me that the hanging rail would be sent. Then I was informed they needed to contact the depot for this to happen. Then I was informed that they had run out of stock of the hanging rail (yet it was still for sale online). Then I requested a refund and that I will go out and buy one myself, I was told refunds were NOT POSSIBLE?! Then they did sent one, weeks later, it arrived damaged. Then they said they need to reorder more stock. I had to use Resolver to manage the complaint for me as Home Done kept lying and fobbing me off. The whole 4 months it was me chasing them after days or week of not hearing anything, I was left with a wardrobe that only was in use 50% due to the missing rail. The simplest of tasks was to send out 1 hanging rail ended up being an absolute nightmare experience. I certainly will never be dealing with them again and I hope after reading this review, that you all don't want that displeasure either.

Poor Quality And Misleading Advertising

I brought a corner sofa advert said free delivery to mainland England, After I purchased my goods, I noticed there was a charge for the delivery £68 to be precise, ( They have since changed the advert to, Free delivery to most parts of the UK ) I have screenshots of both advertisements and I am creating a case with trading standards at the moment. Then to add insult to injury 24 hours before the delivery, I was told it would be an extra £20 To bring it up the steps to my door. I wanted to cancel the order as it just felt like the whole experience was deceitful Sly and manipulative. Without any consideration how this will leave Customer feeling, ( They told me if I Council I would lose the delivery fee! Very manipulative and actively dowering customers. ( This is actually against the law)

Now for the product, Very bad quality the material is that material that you would find on a bus or public transport when it’s hot you stick to it that kind of thing, The accuracy of the stitch is also very poor seems are not in line, And the main material that covers the sofa only goes halfway down behind the cushions, So if the cushions move, you will see the black lining that is usually underneath the cushions that you sit on Absolutely disgusting.

The small print on the conditions I recommend You read, They have thought of every angle not to pay you back or to keep you trapped in the purchase, And for a dyslexic person, which I am, and I expressed This to them It’s very difficult to understand, They are not transparent enough.

A very deceitful misleading company that have clearly Mythologically n Cunningly thought how to Provide a deceiving service.

The Worst Company You Can Ever Buy From

I would give u -0 for your business. The customer service is appalling they don't care about the customer but just the money they are happy to sell damaged items to customers and when asked for a refund u ge told to pay an extra £169.

Please don't pit yourself in stress and just buy from Ebay or amazon or the high street at least you won't have ro go to the hassle what you do with this company
