I've been on lighter life for 1 month now and lost 2 stone. I'm a 44 year old successful business owner with a very strong personality and a recently discovered underactive thyroid problem. This is the most amazing and best diet i have ever attempted. I wish i'd done it years ago. Yes everything they say is obvious ( to me it is as i'm very well educated and make it my business to find out about things) But it still works, if you work it! ( as they say in lots of 12 step programmes!)

I was desperate, not massively fat (15 stone) and fit, i train and do 10k /20k extreme obstacle races, but I have an unhealthy relationship with food and use it as a crutch. I told my husband its this or a gastric band. This wins out every time. The ability to take a step back and reassess and re-evaluate one's relationship with food is fantastic, And i like the packs, maybe because i dont eat junk food i haven't suffered cravings as badly as some. I like the absolute parameters, but then i'm a person who, when i set my mind to it, gets things done. And £73 a week for 6 months for a lifetime of avoiding diabetes , heart disease, hip and knee replacement and looking like a wreck is worth it . Besides i'm literally saving a couple of hundred a week by not drinking and eating out, cabs etc! I've also been out for several lunches, dinners and picnics and not even missed the food or drinking. I have loads more energy, i'm genuinely happier, my kids are benefiting because we're doing so much more and my husband( who was very sceptical about this) said that he cannot believe the difference in my personality and how much happier I am, not to mention the weight just melting off me.

All those that put the weight back on is because You cannot go back to eating the same way, thats the whole point, finding balance. And i've lost over 5 stone before twice with low fat eating and then low carb and lots of exercise after i had my babies so i know how to do it the hard way and this is definitely the easy way and i'm happy happy happy!

Each to their own, but i can't recommend this highly enough. If you don't address your eating problems you will always feel deprived instead of feeling empowered with a fantastic set of tools to live the life you were supposed to.
