Very Disappointed

I paid for a year subscription but from the first day I was only able to work it for half an hour so contacted tv when away they fixed it but a few hours later was having trouble connecting again this same thing happened for the next seven where at least three times I asked to refund my money as they were unavailable to provide me with the service at last I got fed up and subscribed to a different service which I have had no problems with but I have asked repeatedly for a refund they have canceled my on going subscription but have not refunded my money and refuse to give any reason why as it says in the adverts that a full refund would be given if you are not satisfied

Disappointing

Great concept but my wife paid for an annual subscription and so far of the 5 times we’ve used it this year, we’ve had a black screen on at least one channel (usually BBC and/or ITV) 4 times. Responses are tardy, dismissive and not solution focussed. In fact in our experience you generally receive a response after you’ve returned home.

When you advertise a service you expect the service to deliver what you have paid for but 4/5 times with TV When Away there is a problem. If the solution was forthcoming this could be forgiven as I understand with technology issues can happen but responding after the client has returned with no explanation or solution is not acceptable.

I note on other review sites that the accounts of customers who have posted negative feedback are promptly closed and therefore would like to remind TVWA that we have a legally binding contract and have paid for an annual subscription. Closing our account and/ or failing to provide the service we have paid for constitutes a breach of that contract. Please focus your efforts on resolving the issues than trying to hide dissatisfied customers.

Great Vpn Worked Every Day For 3 Months

I was advised to get this VPN as it was very easy to set up and use

We are away in Southern Spain for the winter and spent Christmas in Germany.

. We accessed BBC iplayer ,ITV Hub,everyday/ night without any problems in both countries

Payment was by pay pal which was again very easy to use

When it came to the time to cancel (our return to uk) advised pay pal and TV when away both company's confirmed my instructions by return email

I would recommend this VPN it's a no brainer

5 star service

Avoid At All Cost Extremely Unclear About Subscr

AVOID AT ALL COST

Extremely unclear about subscriptions... unclear about when and how you need to cancel.... Impossible to get any answers from customer service... They will keep taking money out of your account and you will not get an answer when you ask for it back.. Do yourself a favour and stay away plenty of other sites offering this service

Not Worth The Money

We wanted to watch TV when on holiday and this seemed like a good option. Far from being easy the sign up process for iPad was difficult and long winded and when I contacted customer services I got no reply. We managed to log in abroad but the screen kept freezing and we could not watch the programmes we wanted.

I cancelled the subscription. Although I passed on my comments they were not acknowledged until a second email when I was very helpfully informed that most customers did not experience problems. Very poor.

Q&A

Stinker4

During 2017 the TV When Away service failed me miserably as I could not access the BBC channels. After repeatedly emailing them they failed to repair the glitch which they would not acknowledge, but rather blaming me for not being able to view. Finally a few weeks ago after still many emails they admitted that there was a glitch and that they would repair it. After several more attempts and many emails this was eventually carried out. During the last ten days I have been successfully watching BBC. I explained to them that I was not interested in watching other channels and that for many years had subscribed to their service in order to view the BBC. I have now been asking for them to extend my membership by way of compensation and they have flatly refused which I think is both illegal and immoral. Why pay for something if it doesn't work? I have not asked for a refund just an extension. How can I force them, other then taking them to the small claims court, to behave correctly and oblige? Is there an organisation who might assist me with this grievance? Remember this is a matter of principle not money!!!!!! Thank you.
