We rented a car from Flizzr/Sixt at Dublin Airport. It was raining and quite dark at pick-up. The next morning after driving to Shannon I noticed the 2 front wheels being completely smooth on the outer edge and a bulge on LH tyre sidewall. Clearly someone before me hitting a curb causing this damage. Due to safety concerns driving back to Dublin the next morning I called roadside assistance asking for advice whereby he told me to get the wheel changed and that we will get refunded the next day upon return to Dublin. The garage where I was told to go for replacement was a 60km round trip including toll gates. Thinking they had some contract with them but apparently not. Knowing what I know now I would have gone to a place much closer of my choice. The next morning arriving in Dublin the car was checked back in and I was given an e-mail address to contact for a refund. Long story short this email address was not valid and I found several addresses online to which I’ve sent all the detail and receipts. A week has gone by without absolutely no response from anyone. Eventually I decided to call customer service where I was greeted by the rudest obnoxious female ever. After checking, apparently I was not covered for glass & wheels and the replacement of the tyre €100 was for my account and no refund will be possible. When I eventually said to her that I’ll be leaving a poor review her comment was “You do that” and hung up. If the damage was caused by me there would be no argument but the fact the car was declared roadworthy by their inspectors before my rental started is beyond me. I will never rent from these clowns again, clearly out to take your money and no respect, loyalty towards customers. Think twice before renting from Flizzr/Sixt because they won’t hesitate to take money from you whenever they can. STAY AWAY!!!!!

“Terrible service”

I made a reservation previously with Flizzr for this coming Christmas roughly a month ago. I now want to add a baby car seat to my reservation which is an extra charge that I am happy to pay. However the only way that Flizzr allow me to add the baby seat is to do a completely new reservation with a much more expensive charge per day for the car. The staff have been very rude in our correspondence, basically telling me to accept what they say and just be happy with it. I will never use this compiagain and will advise anybody I know to stay well away from them

“Bad experience!!!”

To flee!!!  We arrived in Dublin on Sunday 20th May and booked a car for 5 days. Arriving at the moment of blocking the deposit of 1500 euros, the person of the agency tells us that he has never seen that but that it does not work, that there is no pre authorization. We did have a credit card and not a debit card. My bank had told me before departure that this was what was needed to rent a car abroad. So we are convinced of the De Flizrr or sixt, it's the same. They knew we could not call our bank on a Sunday at 7 pm to help us. In the end, he forced us to take insurance at 215 euros! For a rental at 50 at the base. I called my bank that confirms that there is no problem with my card, that flizrr has never made a request to block the 1500 euros and that the problem comes from home

“Avoid”

Avoid! Stay away! Choose other rentals! They charge you twice from booked and even the rentalcars.com share nothing else but a grin, you fool - we win, you lose. Go for other options like avis or europcar, at least never had anything similar like “too late pickup” for same day. If you go for flizzr simply mind a coeficient of x1,8 for the final bill vs. booked. Either you are not picking the car at the right time or you have to “upgrade” to a downgrade car class that results in paying more or you get charged for dirt in a car that guess what is missing floor mats!?! Seriosly??? Thats kind a putting jeans on for a week without underware. Voila!

“DANGEROUS, UNLAWFUL, OBVIOUS SWINDLE”

DANGEROUS, UNLAWFUL, OBVIOUS SWINDLE. 1- DEBIT CARD NOT ACCEPTED : my payment through a website with a debit card was authorized, but they won't accept debit cards to take the deposit. Of course you won't know this before you arrive at the desk unless you read the conditions... which of course no one usually does. I asked the attendant to try my debit card, just to see if it worked anyway, and she replied that this was not an option. Evidence that this condition is obviously designed to swindle the customer, as no other rental company refuses debit cards. But you know what ? Read paragraphs #2 and #4 and you will see how to do if you don't have a debit card.... 2- NO DRIVER'S LICENSE? NO PROBLEM : my friend has a credit card. the person at the desk said that they could add her as a second driver (something like +10€ a day) and take her credit card. but, I said, she has no driver's licence. The attendant said there was no problem. So, the company is willing to let someone drive without a driver's licence. No problem for them, as there is an additional cost, and they can take more money from you. 3- GIVING FAKE ADVICE : the attendant said it was better to take the subscription (around 1.50€ per day) for the automatic motorway payment, called viaverde. She said that a lot of motorways only worked with this subscription, which is a lie (I live in Portugal, I know it's a lie). No problem for them, as there is an additional cost, and they can take more money from you. 4- MORE THAN OPEN TO BRIBE : the attendant said to a customer next to us that she was willing to accept a debit card if they paid 200€ in cash. No problem for them, as there is an additional cost, and they can take more money from you. 5- NOTHING OFFICIAL : as we were asking for a letter testifying that they refused my card, the attendant gave me a simple A4 sheet with her manuscript signature on it. She said they had no stamp, nor official registration number for the company. 6- TRYING TO SELL ADDITIONAL INSURANCE : as I had told her I had my own insurance, the attendant said I should take their insurance because mine was not covering anything. Which is false, I rent cars often and I'm used to hear this lie. No problem for them, as there is an additional cost, and they can take more money from you. 7- CONCLUSION : reading my advice + all the others, you should NOT rent at FLIZZRS unless you are willing to be swindled.
