A car was booked through website. When we arrived at the place for the car, it turned out that my card did not fit. We suggested changing the name of the driver who had a credit card and a driver's license. Our request was denied. They agreed to give me a car with my "unsuitable" card only in case of additional insurance of 550 euros and a deposit of 300 euros. This is in addition to the amount that was paid by me through your website. There were two couples in front of us who were forced to pay extra money with the same scheme. People were as much as we unpleasantly surprised by this situation. All our options, which we gave, were rejected. The staff didn't even try to help us. As a result, we did not receive the service and had to leave. At the airport, we were able to rent a car with my card without any additional conditions, costs and insurance of 550 euros. I am asking you to cancel my order due to the fact that I did not receive the service because of the refusal of the rental company and new conditions in the form of insurance of 550 euros and a deposit.

“Run from them”

Do You Italy is a company that exists in a boiler room in Spain. They just rebook you at a premium with whatever random company they find. The problem is that what they promise you and what the car rental promises you is not the same. Neither of them care about you and you will likely face a lot of extra and opportunistic charges. I personally ended up with two separate premium insurance policies. I have over a thousand euros charged to my visa card for what was supposed to be a two hundred euro rental. For a Fiat Panda. Use trusted international car rental agencies...

“DoYouItaly? I will not.”

“Do You Italy” Only takes credit cards not debit cards for the €900 security deposit required to rent one of its cars! I carry a debit/VISA credit card. I paid in full in Euro on line for the rental car and a reasonable third party, platinum insurance policy. Unfortunately, upon arrival to pick up the car, I was forced to pay an additional $271.00 for the “Do You Italy” insurance coverage and give a $100.00 deposit in USD on my debit card? It is not clear that ONLY a credit card is accepted to pay for the security deposit, otherwise you must take the “Italy By Car” insurance policy or cancel the booking which means no car and no refund. I was forced into paying for an additional insurance policy I did not need (yes, with my debit card). This amounted to almost as much as the car rental. As this was happening, two other customers were experiencing the same expensive dilemma. Please be aware of this policy with “Do You Italy.” FYI- rented the car at Catania–Fontanarossa Airport (CTA)also known as Vincenzo Bellini Airport.

“No service, not supportive because of delay”

Rented the car through DoYouItaly. Due to a delay we arrived later in the day. Called the customer service of DoYouItaly and OK Mobility in advance. They guaranteed that the reservation would be held until 6 hours after the official reservation time. So we arrived later and the reservation was still there, but no car. We now had to choose a more expensive variant. And because the deposit on the credit card was now higher, we could not pay. Our credit card limit was not high enough. Then have to purchase more expensive insurance and an extra driver. After that we could pay many euros more on the road. To expensive and no support or service.

“WARNING- DO NOT USE”

I would avoid Do You Italy, especially if you have a afternoon or evening flight. - extremely poor customer service and overall bad experience. Booked a car to collect from Goldcar Bergamo Airport for 9.30pm. Slight airline delay resulting in arriving 25mins late for collection. Goldcar desk had closed at 9.40pm and no one available at rental collection point. Also no telephone calls answered as office hours 8am-10pm! Contacted at 8am the following morning, to be told our booking had been cancelled as we had failed to collect within 4 hours - impossible as closed! Goldcar blame DoyouItaly. DoyouItaly very unhelpful and rude to deal with. Apparently if we had booked direct with Goldcar a car would have been available the following day. DoyouItaly would not reactivate the voucher for the following 6 days stating we should have collected at 9.30 exactly - 4 hours grace only applies within the company's office hours- money lost. Lesson learnt - do not use a third party to hire a car - book direct with rental. We rebooked with Hertz - excellent professional service.

“Don’t hire from them they deceive”

I hire from them but when I been Rome airport then there no car and I find every where but no car then I hire other car from other company so please care full every one don’t hire And I email to customer support but they don’t bothering Now 3 week gone they not reply I try every week and they not refund my money I send them all proof

“Terrible experience”

I booked a car online with full insurance on do you Italy website, on the collection day, the car I booked, the cheapest one, wasn't available so the company Maggiore gave me a brand new one and said the insurance from Do You Italy is not valid for them and that I had to pay an additional 36 euros per day to have insurance on my car, they said that if I didn't and my car was damaged or lifted I should have paid 1000 euros or 2400 euros fee. What a sham. Now do you Italy won't cancel my booking or refund my money.

“Professional SCAMMERS 100% ”

Be warned, if you rent from these guys, they will sham you without a doubt one way or another - I’m just in case he will try to delete this with you. Here is the proof that I had purchased 3 rentals agreements with you, which you only honoured one!  Furthermore, your insurance is COMPLETELY useless as it CANNOT be used, unless you have a credit card in the name of the person driving! What about if someone else is named as driving the car doesn’t have a credit card? Their hand hand with the rental companies and their rental companies will make you pay an additional cash insurance with them, which is €25 per day. — Dishonest ?? CERTAINLY !!

“Awful Company BEWARE!!! ”

Booked through Do You Italy - car hire from Olbia Airport, Sardina. The booking details and car hire voucher from Do You Italy stated the car hire office was open until 10PM. On arrival at the hire car office at approx 8:10PM we were informed the office actually closed at 8PM and we were lucky the staff hadn’t gone home, we were told we had to pay a 40 euro late arrival fee, we showed the staff our voucher from Do You Italy which cleared stated the car hire office was open until 10pm. To cut a long story short we were told to pay the £40 euros or no hire car and to pick up the issue with Do You Italy. So after finally finding a contact phone number (which is a challenge in its own right!) we ran through the issue and shared a copy of the booking confirmation voucher and we’re told they will look into the issue and identify if it was Do You Italy’s admin error or gold cars, I said that we are a customer of Do You Italy not Gold car and regardless of who made the mistake, they should do the decent thing and refund me. Anyway a number of months down the line including being hung up I am still not had a refund, even though Do You Italy admits there was a mistake. In summary very cheap car hire broker, if you have any problems with your car hire like so many other customers, expect a miserable customer experience… spend a little more money and use a reputable company who values their customers.

I orderd a car through do yo Italy. When I arrived at airport desk from the car company they told me that I can't get for the price do you italy gave me because I am not 25 years, I showed them how I am booking a car on my phone, and it says that I can have a car for this price, the company said that do you italy need to change it , and it not their issue. I called do you italy and the said they can't help me I need to pay whatever the rental company asks me at the desk, I told them to fix the error online to avoid confusion for others, but they put off the phone... I ended up driving a manual car on the mountains of Italy!!! Do you italy is a big ..!! Please AVOID!!

I had my car broken and so i wanted to rent a car. In their website doyouitaly.com they debit me 9.51 € for a booking the day after at the morning . In the terms and conditions they write that they can accept credit and debit cards. The day after i çresented to the office with all documents and even cash , so they can have their warranty. The employee told me that without credit card is impossible to let me take the car. I tried to offer them cash or other cards that i have but nothing to do. After that silence: none answering the phone, none answering mails. After many attempts they answering me : we can refund your payment because you must had cancel your booking before the booking time. How can i have done this ? I didnt want to cancel i needed this car, they refused me. Very very bad litterally robbing you 10 euros without any service offered !!! Stay away

“Stay away.”

It is better to stay away and hire from a reputable company. We rented a car for three weeks in Italy with the company's most expensive and comprehensive insurance. When we came to pick up the car from the rental company (which is not the same company), they asked us for more money for comprehensive insurance, which we did not agree to pay since we had already paid for the insurance in DoYouItaly site. The car was in good condition but when we returned it we were surprised to find that two weeks after we left the country we were charged for a lot of money without even giving us a receipt, email or reason. The car was not damaged, we did not receive any fines and we met all the conditions. There is no response after the payment from the company by email and phone and there is no way to even get an explanation for the additional charge. Stay away.

“Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy”

Booked a car in Italy last April. The car rental company (GoldCar/Interrent) at the airport decided not to give me the car, because they claimed my licence was consumed and difficult to read (of course, it's a document dating back to 2003). I rented a car from the next car rental company desk, of course paying a lot more given it was not pre-booked and wasting half day of holiday (I even had the police to come down to solve the issue!). I spent hours calling doyouitaly (or doyouspain, same) and added the cost of calls to Spain on top of the initial car rental expense. Couldn't even speak to anyone after I spoke to a useless guy while I was at the car rental desk. Complained via email, they replied at the pace of 1 email per month, finding any excuse not to refund. Asked money back from my bank, they replied to my bank that they stuck to their T&C's (!!!), so they wouldn't refund. I gave the matter to my lawyer, we'll see. Stay away from them (and GoldCar or Interrent, especially mr Gabriele Mancina), I'm appalled that the EU lets companies like this do any business.

“Clue is in the name. Left with no car and no refund ”

These don't even deserve one star. Booked a car through doyouItaly. Clue is actually in the name. Paid 400euro in advance. First the shuttle bus information was wrong but finally got to Surprice Rental which is the first alarm bell. A company with multiple names. They charged me for a booster seat as they made out I ordered one. Even though I hadn't. But after a long plane journey. My family stood outside I just paid and said I'll sort the refund with doyouitaly later. Secondly we went in the office to collect our car and was hit with charges left right and centre. Long story short. They wanted 700euro as a deposit which on my booking papers was supposed to be 100. The 700 only on a MasterCard which I told they would keep my card on file but not take the money. Next is they can charge me 340euro on top of the 400 I already paid. but I won't get it back. As this is a deposit waiver so I don't need to pay the 700. Ok. My card didn't have enough money. Ihad cash. They wouldn't accept. I had a debit card. They wouldn't accept. This was a Sunday. So I had to load money onto my credit card and then travel back in the morning. Next day it cost me 200 euro.on top of 150euro to get back to Surprice Rental. Then they had a manager there who was like a 18year old man. They told me they cancelled my car as I had not collected the car within 2 hours. No chance of refund and no chance of another car.a true sham from the start. There was people there in the same situation as us. I asked a member of staff surely this isn't normal. And he told me the company is a bad company! This did get heated.the manager told me he was going to ruin my day. He wasn't wrong! Then I realised they need to trade this was to pay for his stupid haircut. I asked his employee where can I get a car for my family to end this disaster. I went back to Traviso airport, within 30minutes I had a car sorted and could start my holiday after loosing two days. Thanks Surprice Car Rentals. Autoone. And doyouitaly. Definitely did me. Haven't got my money back. The manager wanted to fight me. He will hopefully meet his match soon. I'm sure he will I'm reporting this company and discussing a claim with MasterCard

“Worst experience ever!”

We made the worst experience with DoYouItaly we have ever made with an online service provider. Due to a flight delay we weren't able to pick up our car's key at the car rental agency in time because it was already closed. The rental agency as well as DoYouItaly were not contactable at this time. In advance, we registered for the "Key & Go" service to get the key from a machine instead from the desk, so we can pick up even when being delayed. But the machine was locked inside the office. We were forced to find a hotel nearby for a one night stay. After contacting the rental agency the day after we were told that they cancelled the booking completely because we weren't able to pick up the car. The rental agency also wasn't able to provide another car, so we had to care about a new car by ourselves. We contacted DoYouItaly several times but they didn't respond until two and a half weeks. They didn't apologize for the inconvenience nor did they reply to the content written in the mails. We booked the car for 10 days and got nothing. Since they don't react at all we are forced to bring in our lawyer. Never again with this company.
