Absolutely shocking experience...I thought I was getting a good deal with a good car..they bent over backwards to get the sale and finance sorted but this was the start of a down hill experience...I've had my car just over 6 months and in that time I've had to have approximately £1300 of work carried out to keep my car on the road ....bearing in mind the car was supposed to 100% checked before purchase new brakes after less than 3k miles new abs sensor new temp sensor new horn new gearbox new abs pressure hose ...they sold me a warranty which isn't worth the paper it's written on..all I got when I complained about the cost of the repairs from the owner was well you use your brakes and and I sold you a used car ...after less than 3k miles and that kind of attitude I won't be going back apparently he's been in the car game for 30plus years...Well aI can say is he should have learned by now how to treat customers with respect and curticity before taking their money and washing his hands

After looking at many different cars I decided the safest option was to buy from a dealer. Immediately after purchasing the car we noticed a few issues. There were problems with the clutch and the spare key didn't fit in the ignition. I called the dealership and was told by the woman that there is no way there could be any problems with the car as the mechanic had driven it and a spare key isn't meant to start a car. I was getting nowhere with her so hung up. When buying the car the garage had called me trying to convince me to buy the warranty. I had decided against it but after numerous calls to me I eventually agreed as the owner said it was for 100% of parts and labour which was an incredibly good deal. I bought the warranty but once the documents came through this wasn't the case. I informed the dealership of this and was told that the man who called me didn't normally deal with warranty sales so it wasn't really his fault. Every time I called the dealership to speak to the owner he was away on business. When I finally got a hold of him he claimed he'd called me numerous times but I just never answered. He agreed to deal with the issue and would call me back but again it was impossible to get in touch with him. After months and months of chasing him up on the problems we eventually just gave up. I definitely would not recommend buying from this garage

Warning To Parents
As a parent safety is key for your children so we used a car dealership rather than buy private. We have had the car three weeks and my son has still not had the opportunity to drive the car in full for more than three days. OIL LEAKS. DRIVE SHAFTS AND ENGINE WARNINGS to name but a few. The vehicle has been returned twice and is still sat on Jeff Johnson four court awaiting repair under warranty. I know I am waisting my time as every time we visit the parts have not arrived or the mechanic is not working!!!! I have decided to post this review not out of spite but as a warning to other parents that if your son or daughter buys a car from here they may not return home as the vehicles are a danger in my opinion. Please take care and shop somewhere else x

Stay Clear Rubbish Cars The Guys A Bully
got a vw golf from Jeff Johnson card went wrong straight away took it to a garage he recommended and they said it was fine! ( engine management light on but fine) I told a person there that the car still had problems like loss of power he wasn't interested his attitude stunk to be honest. I later took the car to a local garage I knew they said the turbo had gone and if anyone missed that in a garage they should be sacked.. I then took it to vw in Liverpool who confirmed this! This was 8 weeks ago and I still have no car, I've been threatened by him and he tried to intimidate me with verbal abuse. I paid 6000 and don't have a car!

JJC treated me really well. Bought a car which did have some teathing problems. They fid checks on it and fixed issues without any question. I eould recommend these guys to someone. Bought a car from a guy at johnsons Second time we have used this garage. Although they have downscaled in size the selection is excellent with good value for money cars. Bought a seat altea this time diesal. It's driving like a dream. Had a minor issue to begin with and had to take it back. But the inconvenience was minor and the garage quickly diagnosed the fault and orders replacement part. Fitted next day. No further issues. Hope to buy our next car from. this guy at johnsons soon.

Keep Well Away From This Company` !!
Bought jeep/arranged delivery time/date & was assured all was well & new MOT. EPG 3 mth warranty. Travelled down from Scotland, plenty of `excuses` & eventually got delivery a day late at prearranged location ! `Delivery driver` disappeared whilst I was on my `test drive`.....low fuel light was on when I had asked to have plenty on delivery!, `knocking` from front anti roll struts & `drumming` from propshaft bearings were the worst part...sadly it was only part service history so no idea regarding last filter/oil change. No locking studs on wheels which I discovered when there was no locking wheel nut remover along with the jack in the boot compartment.....just as well I never had a puncture returning to Scotland as the spare wheel had a locking nut on it which was very hard to remove without the correct key !! The rear wiper was `shredded` & one of the box fuse covers was missing in the engine bay !! Which was in a right mess and had not even been washed down or been attempted to be cleaned !! Previous MOT TEST no:385434604094/Test Station V104214 expiry Jan 3rd 2015 6 Advisories - 3 brake pipes/front tyre/noise from front wheel/SRS light had all `disappeared` from the new issued MOT `CERTIFICATE` Test No.366882834475/Test Station 6026BA & I can vouch that nothing had been done regarding the corroded brake pipes !! All in all an `experience` I would rather forget & hopefully this review will make others aware,but unfortunately did not see these reviews prior to me buying from this `so called garage` I see no point in trying to get any compensation from them & honestly cannot be `bothered` as they would probably `fob` me off anyway.

Nightmare Avoid
Purchased car on the 31/7/13, on way home from garage, which was less than 10 mile into the journey home the engine management light came on also noticed the rear side light not working, we contacted the garage the next morning to tell them what happened and returned the car to them that day , the repair was made and we were contacted to collect the car on the 6/8/13 which was 5 days later after collecting the car to return home less than 10 mile into the journey again the engine management light came on after a phone call to the garage we turned around and went back to the garage were the mechanic put the car on a diagnostics and it came up with the original fault an egr valve which I know has been replaced with a new one, now they suggested keeping the car for a few days to see if they can find the fault, which takes us up to the possibly 10/8/13 which would then mean we have purchased a car 10 days ago to which we have not been able to use ,
Picked car up 14/8/13 was fine driving home later in evening same light came on again, decided this was never going to be repaired correctly so decided to put up with the light, wife then noticed a noise coming from the steering we had a mechanic look at it who told us it was coming from the steering column which needs to be replaced and now as of 1/9/13 it is now very smokey back to garage tomorrow and phone call to trading standards
