The car Spot refused to give me a refund and promised to repair the car but they have held on to it since 17th February 2024 (a car that was not supposed to have any issue) and they have not given me any indication as to when they will finish the repairs. NO REFUND NO CAR! It's a bad company in my opinion.

Stay Away,
STAY AWAY. WORST experience in my life. i bought a VW Scirocco from here and he lied about the service history claiming it was full service history. I tried to contact the guy many many times in regards to the service history but he never answers once the sale has been made. I rang Volkswagen and they said it only has one stamp! I have email proof he blackmailed me to take down my previous comment. Initially he comes across as a family person, but i really hope he'll realise he shouldn't sell people cars that do not work.
So far i have paid 1200 to fix this car and another bill of 750 is expected. He just needs to get taught a lesson.
DO NOT buy from this trader. There is a reason why he changed the business name

Don't Risk It Stay Away From This Company
Service is appalling, if they claim to have serviced the car don't believe them, if they say the car has no faults don't believe them. Any issues that come up after you pay they don't want to know. One reply I got was to spend more money if I wanted a car without any problems!! This company is giving the motor trade a seriously bad name as they will knowingly sell you a defective car and try to hide the issues. Don't under any circumstances pay a deposit to hold the vehicle as they'll tell you its all good, great runner, great price, loads of people enquiring about that specific car.
They advertise warranties then do not honour them, they advertise they take all debit/credit cards then refuse payment by these means. There is a reason when they refuse this so you cannot get your money back through the credit card company.
Stay well clear of this company and spread the word on the social network.

Stay Well Away From Car Spot Manchester
STAY CLEAR IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE!!!
I bought a used car from CAR SPOT on 23rd January 2015 and went to pick it up 24th January 2015, as the car was "supposedly" having a FULL MOT and SERVICE?????I asked if these had been completed and was met very hesitantly with a YES... I checked the service history book only to find that it hadn't been stamped, when I queried this the person in question said the service had been carried out elsewhere but scurried off and stamped the book???!!! after checking everything I drove away to a petrol station approx. 100 yards away to fill the car up, putting in £30 of diesel for the journey home. The dash board started to flash
BRAKE FAILURE
STEERING FAILURE
THE SPEEDOMETER wasn't working
and illuminated in RED- STOP!!!!
I managed to get the car back to the garage safely and informed them what had happened only to be told it was "fine it was nothing"?????but they would fix it???would you trust this?? I didn't and demanded my money back and the fuel- they refused to pay my fuel!!!!
I value my life and that of my children, having my 11 month old with me god forbid what could have happened!!!! the sellers where very RUDE/AGGRESSIVE/INTIMIDATING AND not BOTHERED!!!
SO I ADVISE ANYONE STAY CLEAR and DO NOT USE!!!!
THEY WILL BE REPORTED
Yes i totally agree what a horrible arrogant bad mannered little man!
My son wanted a certain car as an upgrade from his first little run around, he found the car at this place, as my son arrived to collect the car the owner was putting brakes on! Hmm anyway the guy mumbled something regarding engine but STILL allowed my son to drive it off the forecourt from manchester to north wales! the arrogant little man didnt even know where wales was!
my son had asked him if the car was safe to which he replied YES, he drove down motorway and the engine light came on, he took car back to be told its fine! So my son bought car home...shock wasnt the word! The car was a deathtrap! He took the car to an independant mechanic who explained that bearings gone, turbo gone, drive chassis buckled! As i rang the guy he wasnt bothered and kept saying " i not rip you off" the fact of the money wasnt the first issue it was the fact he allowed my son to drive a car which could have killed him! , he said he will fix the car in manchester but as i explained the car wasnt roadworthy to get the car back to be fixed, i offered to have it fixed and he pay the bill but he said NO , so i suggested a tow truck and he pay once again i was told NO, so my son payed 80 quid to fix a bearing to get him back, as my mechanic had said the cost to put the car right could be hundreds even thousands! How is that fair? Pay 4000 took my sons existing car and wouldnt accept any responsibility! As things turned out he got the car as far as warrington and of course brokedown, rang the guy who said" you get car to me" helloo its broke down! He then proceeded to sort out an excuse of a tow but demanded money.
What a long stressful situation, as it is now my son has his own little car back and thank god hes ok!
SO PLEASE PEOPLE DO NOT GET A CAR FROM THIS ARROGANT MAN!
HE DOSENT CARE!
HES BEEN REPORTED TO TRADING STANDARDS
