Not a bad experience

Two weeks ago I wanted to travel from London to Bristol at short notice but wanted to pay as little as possible. I usually go with National Express but I noticed that Megabus was much cheaper (I spent £11.50 in total, inc. outbound and inbound reservations). When I got to Victoria Coach Station, it wasn't immediately obvious where the coach was. I went to the correct boarding gate but couldn't see any coaches with the MegaBus livery. It turned out the coach was behind a National Express coach...Anyway I managed to board the coach; despite it leaving 10-15 mins late, I had an okay experience during the journey.

When it was time for me to return to London, I waited at the coach stop in the city centre. I have to say once again it's not immediately obvious that that it is a pick-up point for MegaBus passengers - the only clue is the fact that there was at least a dozen people waiting with their luggage under some sort of shelter (it also helped that it was the same place I'd been dropped off).

The coach was 15 mins late; we got no apology but the driver was very friendly anyway. The journey should've lasted 2 and a half hours but the driver had to continually stop because of some fault with the coach or something, and I finally got to Victoria Coach Station 50 mins after the expected arrival time.

Overall my experience was good - the coach had reliable WiFi, it was clean and the service was mostly fine. Megabus could be improved by having better signposting at their stops and by being more punctual. For the price and based on my experience I'd recommend them if you were just using it as a means of going from A to B without needing to be anywhere on time!
