Never again. Poor service, poor punctuality, too many Fees

Used Ryanair years ago and declared never again. The wife convinced me against my better judgement to use them again for our trip to Italy. At every stage I regretted it. The initial quoted price just inflates and inflates as you book luxuries such as putting a bag into the hold . I am now well used to checking in online like most airlines now expect, but this joke of a company charges you €70 if you don't do that online, you also need to print off your own boarding pass or face a 15€ fee per ticket for something that takes them 30 seconds to do for the price of a small peace of card. This is a disgusting way to treat a customer who may have forgotten to do the above or not managed to get to a printer and quite reasonably expects to be able to print their boarding pass at the airport like every other reputable airline allows.

All of this I could stomach if it weren't for the fee traps they have. Prime example - if you don't want to pay for the 'privilege' of having a seat allocated then you can only do that 7 days before or less. This means if you are going away for 7 days or more you need to find a means of printing your boarding pass whilst on holiday because they won't let you do it before you go unless you pay. I got caught by this trap as did quite a few other people I saw boarding the same flight.

Ryanair this policy is disgusting and shameful. This is clearly set up to catch people out, and it works very well.

Add to that, a late flight due to changing the plane they used, disinterested bordering on rude staff at most points of contact and it all adds to a poor end to what was otherwise a great holiday. Think very carefully before you book with this company, in my view the small saving is not worth it and I will never use this airline again.
