False Advertizing
Despite the beautiful view and at first glance attractive rooms the Kea Villas proved to be a disappointment. The "pool" was a sham: rather far away , down a steep road, and jacuzzi-size. A steep broken, uneven cement road led to our unit which stood side by side with an empty skeleton of a future unit. The bathroom was so small that we had to walk into the shower to reach the toilet, there are no shelves in the bathroom, the "safe" is a tiny box that can be carried away, beach towels changed only every 3rd day. The "wifi" was low debit, when it worked. The manager , although charming, was extremely hard to reach (we had an electric blackout).
On the positive side, the restaurant was great, and chef Vagales and his staff are wonderful.
The owner, Christos, should have charged far less than the 1000 £ he demanded, for the place does not match the online description,

As an independent travellerI have been visiting Skopelos regularly since 2004 and have always been extremely satisfied with my accommodation at AFRODITE HOTEL in Panormos.
The proprietors maitain their hotel to a high standard of cleanliness and the quality of service by all members of staff is unfailinghly high and cheerful.
Guests are made to feel totally at home in this family run hotel, which is very well appointed with good size rooms and excellent facilities. Afrodite Hotel is set in its own well maintained and attractive grounds and gardens with its own swimming pool and substantial on-site cark parking.
In summary, an excellent holiday choice offering easy access to the nearby beach. You won't be disappointed; i haven't been in some 15 visits.
