Best In Town

Best in town or all the student.

I personally recommend my friends for this.

My Thoughts On The Winter Semester At Centennial College

The world is white, and my nose is frozen. It’s the only thing my scarf isn’t covering currently. I’m walking slowly, for the ice on the pavement is thick and unsalted. School is just up ahead, two more blocks and I’ll be there but it’s so cold. Snow is piled up in mountains all across campus, and as I grasp the doors to the back entrance I slip, and crash to the ground. Twelve thousand points to winter to zero to Stephanie. I get up and shake off the snow from my jacket, and rush in. Someone is playing the theme song to ‘Game of Thrones’, but I scurry by and unravel my scarf as I go. My scarf is thick and red-a Christmas present from my parents, then I peel off the mittens that match, and slow my pace. The wooden door of the Newsroom is before me, and I search for my student ID for a moment before waving it to enter.

The room is vacant; no one is here at 7am but me-the nerd. I’m here this early to write my feature story proposal for my professor Ted Barris. I need this to be perfect, which I know in my gut it wont be. I’m clearly not getting this, and I don’t understand how it is that I excelled in Reporting 1, and yet I’m not doing the same in Reporting 2. I’m doing well in my other classes, yet for some reason I’ve become an imbecile when it comes to hard news style leads. My fingers are racing away on the keyboard as I attempt once more to impress Barris. This assignment is single-weighted, but I still need to do well, I will not accept another C.
