My passenger window wasn't working. Inquired before Christmas but the owner wasn't there. Quoted around £30.

Took it in this Monday to be fixed. Problem was a faulty/lose wire.

Charged £50 labour costs and £10 vat.

Inquired how long it took to justify £50 labour and was told an hour and a quarter.

So basically £50 an hour labour.

Does it take an hour to take a panel off and tighten a wire and then put the panel back on?

Good family run litlle garage. Honest pricing, I reckon upto 50% cheaper than a main garage or dealer.

They fixed my car the same day from misfiring troubles and new tyres. Cant fault the work and the offered a free checkup to make sure the engine is still ok in a weeks time.

Only thing I could fault them on is they forgot to ring me to check i was ok the with cost of the engine repairs. I didnt mind on this occasion as it was not very expensive but I can imagine that this would cause problems for large bills on cars of low value. I would use them again though, I would just ring them after a couple of hours to check what it was going to cost. Im sure they just forgot as they did ring me to ask about tyre changes.
