The Mandolay Hotel, Guildford

Everything was amazing thank you so much for all your help and guidance, I cant believe its all over! Mum and dad send their thanks as well and thought the day was great. Bar staff/restaurant staff all amazing so accommodating and efficient. Food quality/taste/portions fantastic the chef did a brilliant job. You were amazing and fantastic help all the way through and a real credit to the hotel, you could not have done anything more to make our day the best day of our lives so far! We wish you all the best for your future and will see you next year when we come back for our 1st year anniversary! :)

I would not recoment this hotel to anyone. The service was very poor, the food was cold when it was put on the table and out table didnt even get enough gravy as they had run out.

The room that i stayed in was ok, the worst thing about it was the noise. I could hear every step the people upstairs took which meant that i was up at 6am!

I though that the staff were very rude that they didnt seem to know what was going on. I was looking for somone to show me where the lift was for about 10 minutes.

The drinks behind the bar are very expensive.

The room was OK but very small, however the noise was totally unacceptable. There was a loading bay right next to the window, with constant loading and shouting ALL night.No alternate room was offered even after several complaints, and both the night and morning reception staff that I dealt with seemed unreliable to me.My complaint to the management the next day also seemed to be ignored for some weeks, despite the guarantees of quick action from the staff, and ultimately no compensation has been offered as of yet.

I would not recommend The Mandolay Hotel in Guildford as a wedding venue. Changes in staff/menus/prices made it near impossible to plan and budget for the wedding reception in advance. And despite an assurance that we could collect what was left of our wedding cake (about half of it), it was binned before we'd even got back from our three-day honeymoon!
