Amazing Venue

My daughter just got married at Gaynes Park and I have to say it was a perfect day in every respect. The staff could not have done more to make the day special. The venue is absolutely perfect and the team is very slick in making sure everything moves along to schedule without anyone feeling pressurised in any way. We had a few last minute changes including dietary alterations on the day but again the staff dealt with these with minimal fuss. Also, my daughters dress had not been altered correctly (black mark against D and Q Weddings - Harlow ) but again Gaynes Park rallied to the cause and help pin it so that she didn't end up base over apex at some point. Because the venue is split between the ceremony area and the barn obviously sensible precautions are necessary in terms of leaving valuables lying around and having read the previous post - I can only presume they didn't use common sense and take possessions/gifts, etc out of temptations way.

All in all a special venue, a special team and a very special day. Perfect in every way. Dropped one star (location) for being a bit off the beaten track, consequently the venue could do with better signage from Epping for those that do not know the area.

We Hired Gaynes Park In Epping, Coopersale.

We hired Gaynes park in Epping, Coopersale.

When the bridesmaides arrived the photographer asked if we could leave the bags somewhere.

We went to the Hall, the tables were ready for the sit down meal after the service, 3 staff were there. The lady said leave the bags on the table they will be fine there.

After the wedding ceremony the handbags had phones and money taken from them and were found in the mens toilets. They apologized and said this has never happened before that is not true it happened 4 years ago. They also let the local cab company used the toilet in the hall you hire.

It is now the 25th November and they say they are not insured for theft, they also have no cctv.

So it may look nice but if anything gets stolen while you are renting the hall, your gifts, favours or anything else. These items will not be covered they said claim of your household insurance.

You think they would have learnt after the first time and this will not be the last either.
