I bought a wedding dress, looked amazing in the photo.

But the one delivered was TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM THE ONE THE PHOTO,

the detailed decoration I really liked about the dress in the photo was changed into very poor unmature decoration.

It looked so cheap!!

So I sent a message telling them I'm very unhappy with their job and asking

if I can return it and get a refund, but there was no response at all.

Then I was so mad I post a review on the dress on the website, they do not even show my review on their website.

I'm pretty sure they do screening of those reviews and don't approve really bad ones to show on the website.

Lucky I had enough time to order another one from another store, otherwise the dress could irruined my wedding!

The website looks pretty good with all those professional photos which are just image samples, but behind the website Chinese people are working for it and they just try to make the similar one as close as they can and ship them from China.

Dont use this company, they arent willing to help teenage girls with returns. My daughter didnt get the right size and now they are claiming they will only pay back 50% of her money.  and wont reply to emails

When the dress arrived it was much too small and they refused to supply a return address or any refund.After many emails asking them to comply with consumer laws they simply repeated that we had ordered the wrong size. Do not order from this site. I have reported them.

The order late and was small the return and refound doesn't work at all they are liares!!!

I really wish I,d read the reviews of this company before wasting £75.00 on a prom dress for my daughter.

Dress arrived late, was poorly made with bad quality materials.

Ordered a standard British size 10, When arrived was far too small and didn't,t comply with British size 10 sizing charts, after several e mails back and forth with their so called customer services I sent them photographic proof that their sizing was wrong which they still failed to accept.

There is no way I will ever get my money back as their returns policy is non existent, after 4 months asking for a returns address they refused to supply one, they simply continue to endlessly argue with you via e-mail, that's if they respond at all.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY !!!!!!!

Ladies, be smart. Do not order from this company and do not read their reviews seriously - they simply got a whole bunch of people to post fake positive reviews online to try to counter the negative ones. I ordered my wedding dress online and it arrived in good time so no problem on that account however:

>I ordered it custom-fitted and the dress does not fit me at all (it’s too long, too big around the waist and doesn’t fit across my shoulders at all – it’s useless as no dress maker can fix it and I have checked)

>The quality of the dress is NOTHING like the picture. The material is cheap and the sewing quality horrendous. It looks like some poor child sewed this in a concentration camp. AND even the bottom pieces were glued onto the dress!

>I called them 17 times and they do not answer their phone. I then established that although they have a UK phone number, they are not a UK company – they are based in China.

>Their UK address also does not exist in reality – their company is not based at that address

>I emailed them to relay my disappointment and requested a full refund. They then informed me via email that their returns policy states no refund if something was custom measured – when I told them the measurement wasn’t done properly they didn’t answer!

Bottom line: they took £200 from me. Although I have no hope of getting my money back, be smart and learn from those of us who have experienced their shoddy service. STAY CLEAR

I brought my prom dress from here. Once my dress had come through being 18 days late with the express delivery, it wasn't even the same in the picture shown online!! I had paid something like £15 for it to be altered to my size and came through far to be and not even a nice fitting. The dresses seem cheep online but that's online because they don't even come through as you want it. It's 8 days away from my prom and I have to buy a new dress. You can't ring the dresseshop you can only contact them by email. This dress company is based in China as well!!! NEVER BUY FROM HERE. YOU WILL HEY RIPPED OFF FOR PRICE AND DRESS!!!'

Despite MAJOR anxiety on my part about having my wedding dress tailor-made in China, and despite the negative reviews, I went for it. Total cost for my wedding dress and one bridesmaid's dress; £199 including postage.

Within 30 mins of (nervously) sending off my order and money, I received a polite email, saying 'Thanks for choosing us.

We want to confirm with you about the order information now.

You have chosen two dresses and they are all custom size.

Do you need both?

Are the dresses for different girls or different events ?

We just want to make it clear that all our dresses are new made and make to orders,so we don't supply free try on service.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.'

I confirmed back, and then asked if I could add to the details for my daughter's dress, as she is very long in the legs; they replied instantly, with a diagram double-checking the measurement I was sending, saying 'yes, we want to get the best fit possible'.

I spent 6 weeks wondering if I had taken too big a risk, would the satin be poor quality, what if the colour was wrong, would the dress look cheap? They both arrived yesterday, YEAY AND PHEW!!!!; superb quality, beautiful ivory satin, satin covered buttons, lovely quality lining, boning in the bust and bodice, lovely heavy feel, perfect fit. My mum was a tailoress in her youth and was very impressed with the quality of the work.

I am OVER THE MOON!!! Why did I order from here? 1. Bridal shop prices were just too expensive for my budget, 2. All the gowns I tried on in the UK were made in China anyway (oh, how they try to hide that fact!) and take 3 months to arrive (makes you wonder, are they getting theirs from this site too??). 3. With this site, for an extra £15, your dress is tailormade to fit you, so you save the hassle of all the fittings. My dress is exactly the same as my favourite that I tried on in the UK, I just stumbled across it browsing the DresseShop site. My advice - don't give your bridal store owner £1000 just for helping you try on a few dresses, get a fantastic tailormade dress direct from the person who probably makes the bridal shop gowns anyway.

My dress was the Trumpet/mermaid sweetheart elastic woven satin chapel train white ruffles - even the same marketing photo as that on the bridalwear website; Good luck!

I have learned a valuable lesson. Before ordering an expensive item online - read the reviews first.

My 16 year old daughter spotted a pretty looking feminine dress suitable for her prom.

The website address gave me confidence as one would believe it is uk based.

My first shock was when I checked my bank account the following day I was charged extra for a Hong Kong transaction!

I would never have ordered the dress if I knew it was not from the UK.

I would love to know why they use the web address dresseshop.co.uk if they are in China.

The dress finally arrived and it came as a bit of a shock. Wrong colour and it did not fit my daughter.

However, the website advertises no hassle returns! They argued the colour was different because of the lighting. Several friends told me the dress did not resemble the picture advertised. However, they told me I would not be eligible for a refund.

Dress was ordered and paid for and I havent received the dress or a refund,not a UK company as it claims. A very unhappy daughter as dress was for her prom. Customer service hasn't replied to ANY messages sent, on Facebook they replied eventually saying dress was lost and they would refund but will tale 45 days!
