Friendly Knowledgable Service

Popped in to look at bikes for Christmas for my son, went through the options and really helped me to understand what was best for my son. They didn't have one in stock, but managed to source one and get it in time for Christmas. Feels like nothing is too much trouble.

I got regular updates about the progress of the delivery and when it was ready to collect.

Super service, we will definitely be back for our next bike! Thanks again.

Poor Quality Customer Service

Ordered a new bike through these guys and was told over the phone that the bike was in stock and ready to ship. It took over a week to even get it posted and was told it’s next day delivery. This is not true as it’s been put on a 7 day delivery much to my dismay after waiting a week for it to even be shipped from store.

The service is very slow and based upon this experience and the number of times I had to call for an update I would not recommend or use again.

3 Attempts To Resolve A Flat Tyre!?

Took bike in wth a flat tubeless that they had installed previously, and also asked if they could adjust the alfine hub gear as it was slipping. The tyre was deflating every few days but had no sgn of a puncture. A few hours later they said bike was ready for collection and that all they needed to have done was pump up the tyre. I chose to leave it another day as I knew the tyre wold be flat. I weht to collect and they presented me my 'fixed' bike and wanted payment. It had a flat.

I declined to pay and asked they revisit their fix, and woild collect next day.

The following day they called in the morning to say it was fixed and that all they did was pjmp it up again. I left it to the end of the day.

This time they realised they actually needed t reseal the tyre because it had gone flat again during the day.

With it now inflated I paid for the tyre fix and the gear adjuatment and left.

I gt 300yrds and the gears were now slipping even worse than when I took it in.

I needed the bike so went home and decided tk have a go myself.

After reading the shimano manual it turns out they had completely misaligned the selector, and it only took me 5 minutes to fix. The cheeky sods had charged me £8 for making it worse!!! utter shambles

Understood What I Wanted

. . . and took on the challenge. I made the mistake of buying a (tandem) second hand from elsewhere without really testing it. The gears were not only shot, but also a rare and virtually discontinued make. Although the bike was not from Cycleworks they worked hard to source, purchase and fit the appropriate replacement parts on my behalf - they could so easily have said "Sorry Sunshine, not our problem".

Not only that, but all the various staff I spoke to were aware of and somehow involved in my case - a classic example of what could have been a problem being taken as a challenge

Excellent

Had a group of 11 people with 4 kids under 4. Booked through the website and preferred it over other similar shops in the area because of the ease and professional appeal of its website.

Got a confirmation within an hour or so of the request.

On the last day, a family backed out and the staff was very helpful in modifying the booking.

Prices are a bit on the high end but the bikes and other stuff are equally nice.

The positives:

- Great location and plenty of tracks in the area

- Good quality equipment

- Friendly staff

- Family run business

- Nice pubs and Cafes around for a nice cup of tea

The only negatives were:

- Closing time of 5pm which is kind of early for a summer day

- The helmets were damp because of probably being out in the rain and so smelled of dampness.

- Free parking was difficult to find and had to pay £2 per car. A map of the free car park on the website would have helped.

But even with these minor cons, still a very nice experience and

An Extremely Professional, Friendly And Approachab

An extremely professional, friendly and approachable business, stocking a wide range of cycles and accessories to suit a diverse consumer market.

I found the staff were very knowledgeable with reference to products both in store and to order, I found the mechanics were trained to a very high level and would recommend their services to anyone who requires a specialist mechanical job carried out.

In summary Forest Leisure Cycles is a highly recommend specialist Cycle shop , which will have my loyal custom for years to come.

Flc Gave Me The Professional Advice I Needed When

FLC gave me the professional advice I needed when searching for the correct bike for me. Nothing was too much trouble for the guys. From initial contact via the web, to a visit to the shop for the final purchase, the whole process was handled by people who were only too happy to take the time to ensure that every detail was covered.

The after sales care is excellent, with very competitive prices for all servicing and maintenance needs.

FLC offers you a warm, friendly and personal service that addresses your needs and requirements for the world of cycling at whatever level. I would recommend them without reservation. You won't be disappointed!

Excellent Shop, Well Stocked. On Advice From The

Excellent shop, well stocked. On advice from the knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff I purchased a hybrid Giant Roam 2 as opposed to a 'mountain bike' and have used this on the tracks in the New Forest and for riding to work. The service and delivery was particularly good. Highly recommended bike and shop. Will buy again from them!
