Ghastly Service. Do Not Use This Service.
Vodafone online shop is a total disaster. I ordered a bog standard mobile phone over their website. Big mistake. Firstly it turned out it was more expensive than Carphone Warehouse and then the courier failed to find our address to deliver. No contact from anybody, so i tried to find out what had happened. That was when the total failure emerged. Their systems just arent designed to cope with this situation. Their phone lines are all busy. The help line didnt exist because they were offering the number for sale. Can you believe it!! The chat room couldnt solve the problem. Even their shop in Worcester , who were very helpful, coudnt sort it. Promises were made to phone me but nothing happened. I eventually got through to somebody after hours and hours of effort on my part. Eventually I was asked whether I wanted a refund. Yes , I did!. Eventually the refund arrived. Surely failure to deliver should require a call from them asking whether I wanted them to try again or seek a refund. No, that would require effort on their part. Dont ever use them.

Update To My Earlier Review
After cancelling my contract through sheer frustration at unfulfilled promises I rang to find out how to get my migration code as I don't want to lose my long time held number. I was made an offer I couldn't refuse to stay with them (they are going to re-imburse the one off cost of the phone)and promised a new iphone4s early the following morning which arrived promptly this morning. They also said that they would reactivate my old sim to use in my old phone so I wouldn't be without a working phone, which didn't happen. I felt it fair to bring you up to date.

After Staying On Vodafone Network For 48 Months An
After staying on Vodafone network for 48 months and being loyal to them, I was asked to pay non-payable charges.
I bought two iPhones on business account with them. Their iPhones had very bad coverage, so we returned them to the shop within first seven days. The sets were taken back by the shop and account was closed. After 2 months, we got rental bills asking us to pay showing an amount outstanding whereas we had nothing to pay(confirmed by shop). On speaking to customer service, they said - we cannot help. One month later, this was sent to a debt collection agency which forcefully took the money from us. I really warn the consumers against the BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE of Vodafone. They make you pay non-payable charges.

I Am Really Surprised To See Such Bad Reviews Of T
I am really surprised to see such bad reviews of this company. I have been a Vodafone customer for several years. I do understand the frustration some people have had at speaking with customer services on the phone - I found the advisor extremely difficult to understand. Therefore, any contact I have with customer services is via e-mail. I have found this to be extremely effective. The e-mail address is:
In terms of value for money, network coverage and access to on-line billing etc I have found Vodafone no problem at all. I have previously been with O2 but went with Vodafone because the network coverage was better. Vodafone also have a funtionality called 'Vodafone Passport' which provides cheaper calls and texts when travelling abroad. This is a free bolt-on and I have taken advantage of it on numerous occasions.
One piece of advice if you are planning to purchase an iPhone on Vodafone - the mobile data (WAP) settings need to be changed from the default settings. Vodafone do not tell you this though! The 'Mobile Settings' (in Settings-Network-Mobile Data Network) need to be changed as follows: APN - internet Username - web Password - web

I Ordered A New Blackberry And Contract With Vodaf
I ordered a new blackberry and contract with Vodafone online. Don't do this!!
Their customer service has been shocking. I requested my number be ported, gave them my PAC number at point of purchase and... nothing happened. I then phone customer services to ask them to do where I was passed around for an hour. Finally someone would help me, and told me it would be sorted out in two days. I have just phoned them again only to be told they can no longer port the number and my temporary number is now my number.

Everytime I Go Abroad I Get A Problem Receiving E-
Everytime i go abroad i get a problem receiving e-mails with Vodafone, on my blackbberry. When you call custoemr support getting past the 'line one' team was almost impossible, as they wanted to do the basic checks again each time I called, before transferring me to line 2, whihca re more expereinced. There is no direct number for a senior 'line 2' tech. support team representative, and for urgent cases like mine, as my business relies on good communication. It is for this reason you have not looked after my business needs.
Customer Services sent me a ltter after i complained, syaing that i should check with them everytime before i travel abroad!
I opted for 'Vodafone Passport' last year. No where on the Vodafone Passport Information pages on the web-site does it suggest that you must call Vodafone before travelling abroad. Under the section 'Planning a Trip Abroad' it is not mentioned, and also under 'can I use my Blackberry while
Abroad' the answer is 'Yes' as long as there is GPRS.
basically Custoemr Services made the problem sound like my fault, as they said I needed to check with Vodafone before travelling abroad, however no where in the literature do they recommend this, and in the past not one person I have spoken to when experiencing problems with my phone while abroad has recommended that I call them before travelling.
My wife who is always with me has experienced no probs with O2. She finds it quite amusing that I spend a lot of time on the phone to Vodafone when we are abroad together trying to sort out problems, while she in all these years has experienced no problems with her network - and she does not have to ring before travelling!!).

Vodafone Are Appalling. You Are Lucky To Get Throu
Vodafone are appalling. You are lucky to get through to anyone who can speak english.
Every time I go aboard my phone doesn't work - although I am using the phone they provided with the contract which has roaming and passport.
When I call 'customer services (hahaha)' they give me another excuse. Same with the technical department - they don't know which end is up. Waste of money. Just been talking to them again as I went to Holland over the weekend and could not get in touch with anyone - they aren't bothered.

I've Been A Customer Of Vodafone Ever Since I Had
I've been a customer of Vodafone ever since I had a contract (1999), and have never tried any other networks. I've always paid my bills on time and for the last two years have had 3 contracts running concurrently. In October i paid as normal and all seemed fine. However, last week two of the three contracts were disconnected. I phoned to ask why and they said for none payment in October. I explained that the bills had been paid as normal, and i had the proof in black and white in front of me. Upon closer inspection of the November bills i notice a credit on one of the accounts, which totaled the amount outstanding on one of the others. Obviously the cheque had been credited to the wrong account, which was their fault not mine. Pointed this out, yet they still would not reconnect the phones, saying that as well as an outstanding balance (which didn't exist) i would also have to pay a 70 reconnection fee! To top the lot off, my sister phoned and they were discussing details of my payments with her, breaching the Data Protection Act!!! I cancelled my contracts immediately.

The Good Point Of Any Mobile Phone Store Is That T
The good point of any mobile phone store is that they sell mobile phones.
This chain of stores sells only as you would expect Vodafone Branded phones.
The staff in the stores do not always make time to show you how a phone works and many if not all the staff are mobile phone illiterate ie dont understand simple phone terms such as how many chord polyphonic a phone is.
They are in too much of a rush or they want you to take a phone on a contract and pay as you talk customers are beneath them.
Also If you decide you cannot cope with a phone they dont want to refund your money and will argue to try and wear you down (you must stand your ground with Vodafone).
On another point with Vodafone the MMS Service is very poor.
MMS messges dont always get to the destination phone say Vodafone to 02 just a photo or a sound recording (they dump the message).
Vodafone like some other networks think its ok to offer an MMS Service but they dont have to get the MMS to the recipient.
Best Network Award must Go to Virgin for Cheap and Cheerful with free voice mail and Orange for High Quality Signal and Efficient MMS Service and also 02. Thumbs up for Virgin, Orange,O2. Thumbs down to Vodafone.

Vodafone's Website (www.vodafone.co.uk), Is A Crac
Vodafone's website (www.vodafone.co.uk), is a cracking website for this solid company. I always get information about the latest handsets from these guys, and whenever I have ordered from the site, I have had no problems.
Do you work for them?
I found this review not helpful because... it has to be someone who works for Vodafone.
