Avoid This Place

Bloody awful, avoid this place like the plague. Excremental service, excremental communicative ability, and it was a struggle to get refund for something that was not delivered. They don't even deserve one star.

Far Better Than Tool-net!

My Bosch hedgetrimmer broke last year and I ordered a Black and Decker replacement from 'Tool-Net'. The model I wanted was shown as being 'in stock'. After a week I heard that the machine was not in stock after all but that they had a date from the manufacturers when it would be. This meant a weeks delay but at this time the hedges were not in too bad a shape. A further week and I was notified that the manufactures had informed Tooled-up that there would be a further delay. This went on for 6 weeks in total when I lost patience and cancelled.(Hedges now looking very ragged!). Found directbrandtools and ordered the same machine and it was delivered as promised the very next day. Absolutely brilliant and product well packaged. Would thoroughly recommend.

Never Received Goods

The website says "Order by 2pm for next day delivery". I ordered, and waited.... I had heard nothing a week later and emailed them. They said the item was out of stock, and offered me a replacement.

I then heard nothing for a week, and checked their website. I found that the item I ordered was now marked in stock, but at a higher price. I contacted them again to ask for the original item, and they agreed

A few days later I had notification that they would deliver the original item, so I contacted them and they said to refuse the parcel, it would be returned to them and they would send out the original one. I did this, and waited...

10 days after the parcel had been returned to them (which I could see on the parcel tracking).

I got in touch with them again and cancelled my order, which was paid through Paypal. They agreed to refund the money, and then... nothing. In the end I had to cancel via Paypal to get my money back.

It is a complete waste of time shopping with this website, which is a re-brand of dibranto.co.uk and ideabright.co.uk. Shop elsewhere!

Delivery....what Delivery

Over one month now and after having to pay additional postage charges I am still waiting for my purchase to be delivered. I have emailed without response and have no idea whether my purchase has even been dispatched. I am in the process of trying to get a refund

Do not believe there delivery times as there not 24hrs as stated nor do they call to tell you about delays which they claim to do.

Small Delay, Good Communication

I had a good experience with DB Tools. I ordered a Bosch CES multi-too kit on 2/1/13 at an attractive price. DBT called the following day to say that the single example in stock was damaged & could I wait for five days for new stock to come in. I accepted this then not having dealt with them before checked around, found this website, saw some of the negative reviews & got quite anxious.

Yesterday I received notification that the tool had been despatched & the tool arrived duly today 8/1/13 in perfect condition

After searching the net for good cordless kits I found DBT. What a bargain I thought £100 better than any other site so made the order which said was in stock and would be delivered within 48hrs. 5 days later I phoned them up, yes sir I will phone you back in 15 minutes. I phoned them back 90 minutes later to be told the order was not in stock but I will receive the goods in 48hrs. So 5 days later I phone them back again to be told sorry we are having trouble with our suppliers. I will not be using or recommending them. I never write reviews but people need to warned about companies like this. Also the good reviews for DBT on this review site are a bit suspect. Hope this help you make the right choice. R

They Take Your Money Then Don't Deliver The Goods!

Their site SAYS the item is "in stock" - they SAY they will deliver the "NEXT WORKING DAY" [if ordered before 15.00hrs] - you order - the money is IMMEDIATELY taken from your account. The goods are not delivered the next day, nor the day after that and NOTHING is said [email/sms/telephone].

You email and express concern.

NOTHING happens - no response by email/sms/telephone.

You telephone [not easy - the number stated on the "SagePay" is "unobtainable"] - and find the item is indeed out of stock. But "will be delivered to us in four days". When pressed to be certain the item WILL delivered to them as stated, they call back after "talking to our suppliers" [?] and the story is amended to four or "perhaps 7 days".

Not surprisingly, I asked for a refund "immediately" as they took the money from my account instantly - strangely, their refund will take "three or four working days". When asked why not immediately as with their deduction from my account when ordering, waffle about banking delays etc. etc. [REMEMBER - WE HAVE THE "FASTER MONEY" SYSTEM IN PLACE UNIVERSALLY NOW]

I left them to process the refund with the promise that if the money DID NOT reach me within the stated time then I would contact the fraud dept. of the bank involved and seek to have their business barred from further card transactions.

DON'T TOUCH THESE PEOPLE - ARE ANY OF THE APPARENTLY FAVORABLE REVIEWS TRUE? NOTE THAT THERE IS A CONSISTENT PATTERN OF ISSUES AROUND DELIVERY AFTER ORDERING - GOING BACK THE FULL 18 MONTHS COVERED BY THESE CUSTOMER [?] COMMENTS.
