Such Poor Customer Service And Communication

I'm afraid we have encountered big problems with WhiteStores. A £900 set of furniture we ordered was shown as a guaranteed 5 day delivery. We paid for it and got an e-mail invoice stating it would be with us in 5 working days. The 5 working days passed and nothing. No e-mail or any correspondence. We rang them after 8 days and were told that they were having delivery problems but that it would be with us in another 2 days. These past and once again no contact was made by them. Once again we contacted them, this time to cancel the order. Over a week down the line and still no refund. Their excuse!? ...there were no people in accounts during the week they would have carried out the refund...SHOCKING!!! We always give good feedback where it is deserved BUT, as any company has to expect, if you treat your customers badly then the negative feedback will follow.

Perfect, Quality Furniture! Excellent Customer Service!

After hours and hours of scouring various DIY stores, catalogues and furniture shops we discovered White Stores, providing exactly the type of thing we were looking for. We then read the reviews on line, unfortunately these were not so good!!, however after we rang and spoke to a member of the team he put our minds at ease a little and after deliberating over the reviews and the subsequent telephone call we decided to go for it and order the furniture.

We placed an order for a dining set, sofa and the appropriate covers on the 12 May. Unfortunately the chairs we wanted were out of stock but a similar sort would be due in on the 21 May so we decided to swap to these chairs and continue with the order. Due to the delay in the chairs we were advised to wait for the other items so that everything could be delivered together. White Stores then advised that we could just pay a deposit for the goods until the chairs arrived (as we were still a little concerned about some of the reviews), the balance would then be taken approximately 3 days before despatch.

On the 21 May I called for an update on our order and was advised that due to a consignment error the replacement chairs were not available until the middle of June but the chairs we originally wanted had come back into stock. The team at White Stores couldn’t have been any more helpful or done anymore to sort this issue and promptly adjusted everything and all for the same price. They then were able to advise that delivery would be scheduled for the following week. They arranged to call my husband at on a certain day and time to take the balance and did exactly that. We later received an email and call to advise that delivery would be on the 31 May.

The delivery day came and the driver called me about 10 minutes before he was due to deliver so I could get home to intercept it. He came and went in about 20 minutes no problems.

The furniture is absolutely beautiful, perfect for our garden and beyond our expectations (and well worth the money!), the whole experience has restored my faith in on line shopping and customer service it’s such a shame that their reviews on line do not do it justice. Everyone at White Stores were very professional and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and the communication from them was perfect.

Special thanks to the staff who made the whole process so very simple and did exactly what they said they would each time I spoke to them.

GIVE THEM A TRY YOU WON’T BE DISSAPOINTED IN THEM OR THE GOODS !!

Avoid This Company At All Costs

The worse customer service ever experienced. When things go wrong this company will not get back to you and they deliberately delay replying to emails. They are only interested in taking your hard earned money and when things go wrong provide nil customer services leaving you with poor garden furniture and out of pocket. They ignore complaints and if your are lucky enough to get a reply provide nothing but accusing information and blame you the customer. Their web site is full of misleading information regarding their products. Do not believe anything you read on their web site regarding their products as it will be untrue. In future I will be purchasing from a local trusted company who cares about their reputation. Hopefully with enough complaints to Trading Standards they will be stopped from trading altogether and stop ripping off customers. My experience has been terrible and I cannot stress enough not to buy from them.

Yes, I had the same problem when ordering. You did the right thing requesting a refund as once you have the goods any problems would have been a nightmare dealing with them. It took me over 8 months to get anywhere and at the end I was still seriously out of pocket and am now replacing the rusty furniture, Like you said they deserve bad feedback as like you I have never had to leave bad feedback before. I never want to deal or speak to them again. Good luck getting your refund.

Dear Poppy55. I am sorry to hear this and as you haven't given me any details to look into the end result, or to why you would think that we have not given good service, I cannot comment on this. On occasions there are instances where customers are not satisfied, but there is usually a very good reason for this. We always try to resolve all problems to satisfy the customer but in this instance we obviously haven't. I would be more than happy, as I am sure you did not deal with me in the first instance, for you to contact me direct by email where I will look into all of your queries again and acknowledge all of these on site if you so wish me to.

Evidence was provided to the review site that I am a genuine customer. I have never had to leave a bad review before, however in the past I have left good reviews on purchases with other review sites that have connections with the traders concerned. You were given the opportunity to put things right but failed to do so. With regards to your comment regarding reviews on your web site, it is your companies decision which reviews are published, therefore you are not going to publish bad feedback from your customers. Due to the amount of stress your company have caused me and the loss of my hard earned cash I am putting this experience behind me. One lesson I have learned is to check out online companies that you haven't dealt with before on review sites as it would appear I am not the only person to have had a bad experience with your company.

However, since January we have had more than 17,000 customers on line, many of which have left us positive reviews on our web site. These relate not only to our products, but also to our customer services. This review has no name and we have no way of defending our customer service, as we do not know the details of the order. Indeed, the reviewer has never reviewed anyone before, on this website. To this end I would suggest that this may not be a valid review and could possibly be a competitor. However, if this is a genuine review, we are more than happy to discuss the reviewer’s issues direct and would hope they would allow us the opportunity to do so.
