Worse Company Ever
This company called tub furniture was previously known as tub direct. Whilst waiting for our refund of £210.52 we were then notified by email that the company has gone into administration. We are so angry at the abysmal treatment we have received by this company that yes should not be in business. We ordered our tub chairs since February and was told it would be delivered in March. This then changed to April, then we were told by end of May we will get a delivery date. They failed to do this but tub chairs were then delivered in June 2016 with out any forewarning. It was only by chance I was in albeit I was just about to leave the house. My relief that the chairs had finally arrived albeit with no forewarning, was short lived as when my husband and I later opened the box we discovered they were in the wrong colour. We then had the next saga of getting them to collect the returned items. The delivery company used was just as bad as tub direct and kept on asking for our post code on three separate occasion whilst failing to turn up. To cut a long story short after ringing tub direct and shouting at one of their sales representatives we finally got the chairs collected. I apologised for shouting but explained that this company is the most incompetent company and causing unnecessary stress to its customers. At this moment in time we are £210.52 out of pocket and trying to get a refund via our bank. The matter has not been resolved but our advice is please please do not use this company tub direct or tub furniture.

i ordered a recliner in december 2013, told delivery would be 7days. paid by bank transfer (should have smelt the rat at this point)! got e mail to say can't deliver for 3 weeks which was no use to me as i was having major surgery and required the chair for recovery. cancelled and still waiting for refund. i got to the stage i was e mailing daily, finally got told refund had gone into my bank - load of rubbish..after many e mails got told the "manager" stopped refund at last minute. ended up so sick of it that i reported it to the police fraud team. i know my hard earned cash has gone and i hope the low life who is conning people gets his comeuppance but i urge anyone thinking of using this so called company to save yourself the hassle of losing your money and shop at a reputable store. i used street maps and found a row of houses and no sign of a warehouse in sight! ! dirty thieving mongrels. karma will get you and i wish i was a fly on the wall when it does!!!! I've wasted so much time and energy on this that i have accepted my loss....my only hope is the fraud team catch up with the person behind the scam and punish them accordingly.

2 Chairs Ordered December 2013. Still Not Received
2 chairs ordered December 2013. Still not received, refund requested and agreed in March - couldn't pay refund by cheque. asked for bank details but not given as don't trust them. Demanded payment by cheque, still waiting and heard nothing for ages! Details passed to Trading Standards who are investigating this company.
I ordered 5 tub chairs and paid £249.00 in Nov 13 . Kept moving delivery dates so I cancelled the order and bought else where. They have been promising a refund since Dec 13 . supplied bank details 4 times but still no credit given.

I order 3 tub chairs from this company and paid by cheque. I ORDERED ON 19TH nOVEMBER 2013 AND I AM STILL WAITING FOR DELIVERY OR A REFUND. MY EMAILS ARE NOW BEING IGNORED AND STILL NO SIGN OF DELIVERY OR A REFUND.THIS COMPANY HAS BEEN FOBBING ME OFF FOR OVER SIX MONTHS DO NOT ORDEER FROM THIS COMPANY AS THEY ARE KEEN TO TAKE YOUR MONEY FOR NOTHING IN RETURN.I DO NOT THINK THEY EVEN EXIST. THEY WERE QUICK TO TAKE MY MONEY BUT NOW THEY ARE TOTALLY IGNORING ME.

I have been waiting since November 2013 for my chairs. Have sent lots of emails.asking when delivery will be as the payment of £99-98p was taken from my bank 22 and December 2013..l have had a email today stating. Delivery should be in 3weeks.when l get the chairs.l will post it on this page.joyceanne
I am in the same boat, however I have just received an email from Durham police informing me that 4 people have been arrested and are now on police bail until 14th June. The police are now preparing a statement for the court and all those who have contacted Durham trading standards and Durham police will get a copy of the statement prior to the court case. I don't know if any of us will get our money back but here's hoping and good luck to everyone affected.
Do Not Order From This Firm
Exact same story - ordered in November, kept promising delivery. In the end cancelled the order but 6 months on I am still fighting to get the refund. Lesson learned - never trust a firm who states the credit card facility is unavailable & asks you to send a cheque instead, stop & think wouldnt a legitimate well run business really not get their credit card system back up & running firm within a day or two? Their web site looks legit so I was fooled by that - dont make the same mistake as me!

I placed an order on 26th October. I cancelled the order and asked for a refund after several emails promising delivery which never happened.
Durham police are on the case but the owner of tub furniture store has disappeared from his last known address and they are trying to track him down. Until they find him, if they ever do I think we will all have to accept the fact that we have been taken in. I assume you have had no replies from them because they probably aren't trading any more. I should imagine that they have got rich by not honouring their contract and providing goods that have been paid for by god knows how many gullible people.
All we can now do is hope and pray that this despicable person is found and brought to task. I personally hope that if he is found he hasn't spent all of our money and we get it back.
If I hear anything from Durham police I will post it on the review site.
How do we bring this company to justice? I too am a victim, have been promised a cheque but nothing coming. Now that I have read all the reviews from others I see that they never do deliver or return money. There must be something that we can do?
I agree with you Alistair, haven't heard anything from Durham police or their TS. Sent a recorded letter requesting they release the name of the owner of this business, also emailed both. Got no reply to either. Sent forms back and still nothing. So don't think there is any chance of getting money back. I imagine the internet sites are hosted abroad and so cannot be shut down under UK legislation.

l have rmailed the ownet he hasnt replied nor has he replied to the recorded delivery letter lt came back unsigned.please sort these people out.god nows how much money they have got under false protenses.joycesnme
