Gone Into Liquidation!
They trade as Alfresco LTD. Ordered through ebay. Had 3 different delivery dates then finally phoned me to tell me company was in liquidation. Opened dispute through ebay so I don't know the outcome. All I know is i'm £700 out of pocket and haven't any table or chairs. They trade through various websites so beware!
Fantastic Product Customer Service Lets It Down
After reading the reviews on here I was concerned about placing an order. However I took note of a previous review and found the amazon and eBay sites which held plenty of positive feedback. Husband and I discussed and decided to go ahead with our order and we ordered the solid oak table and four chairs, we Brits tend only to write a review when something goes wrong so we decided we were going to give an honest review of our purchase even if there were no hiccups.
We placed our order online and received a conformation email saying we would be supplied a delivery date within 7 days, on the 7th day my husband called and they gave him a delivery date then. On the delivery date I was sceptical I must admit due to the reviews but again called them to confirm a delivery and time. I was told that the person hadn't seen the delivery driver and they would call me back. I got a call from them after an hour and they informed me the delivery driver was off sick so my delivery would not be taking place on that day but they would arrange a delivery in two days time. I was not shocked by this as was prepared due to the reviews on here however it was frustrating. I called the day before the new delivery date to confirm the new delivery which they did and the driver indeed turned up on the agreed date. I was greeted at the door by the driver saying 'i didn't know I would have to park so far away, I've got my kids in the van' I'm not really sure what response he expected but to cut a long story short I was asked to go and stand by the drivers van to make sure his 2 year old was ok while he delivered my table. My husband and his friend ended up carrying the goods in with the driver because he had decided it was a good idea to take his kids to work.
The table and chairs are fantastic, the quality is fantastic and we cannot fault the items. You do not get this quality in the shops for this money. We would use this company again although must be honest about the customer service and say it could be greatly improved. Driver sickness and then him wanting a baby sitter is not the customers responsibility, furniture shop online looked poor and unprofessional due to this.
I would recommend this site based on our experience however I would say be on the ball and chase/check delivery dates etc and don't expect the professional delivery or service the website promises.

Ordered oak table and chairs 23rd of January. Had to chase them for delivery dates, they have now missed five delivery dates. 1st two, they didn't have the table, 3rd they never booked, 4th they had the wrong size table, 5th the delivery company couldn't collect it because they had lost it in the warehouse!
£50 refund of delivery hasn't happened, £100 refund as apology hasn't happened. It is now the 10th of April and I am fighting for a refund.
They almost never return phone calls, the wait to get through to them is always long. They seem to be able to cancel deliveries with the delivery company, but we always find out by the goods not turning up when promised.
I am £999 down, its the 10th of April with no promise of a refund or a delivery. This company are the internet shopping nightmare I always dreaded.

Terrible Quality And Service
Ordered an oak bed supposedly 'reduced' from this site t the start of January- took multiple phone calls to arrange delivery- including the goods not being delivered on the day stated. When the bed arrived the delivery company would not deliver to the room of choice' not insured' apparently. he furniture itself was of poor quality- really thin and scantily placed wooden slats and made of knotty wood.
I had to arrange return myself- they would not even help out with speaking to their own deilvery company. It has taken me over a month- including mulitple phone calls to get my money back.
PLease note that the 3 positive reviews on this site are suspiciously close together in date order.
I do a lot of online shopping and this is the worst company I have ever used.

I am a bit of a novice when it comes to buying online so it was a real pleasure to come across a company that really took all the hassle and stress and made my life easier when purchasing my table and chairs. Coming from a customer service background I found the service first class, genuine and honest from what was displayed on the website to the assistance I received over the telephone. It was delivered on time and the delivery guys were great. Would I recommend the Furniture shop, definately

I have just received my table and chairs and I am very pleased with them, the quality is superb very solid and robust which is great with 3 kids!!! Far better than I thought it would be for price which was considerably cheaper than others I had looked at. Very helpful customer service by phone and email, delivery driver was very helpful. I will definitely use this company again.

The Worse Service I Have Ever Received
I purchased a dining table with 8 chairs which were suppose to delivered on the 25/03/2011 and when it did not arrive on the day we called only to be told it was not going to arrive that day and after 3 more calls to them it was arrange for a week and a half later.When the furniture did arrive one of the legs did not fit so I had to wait in for a new one to arrive, Since then we have had to have 2 chairs replaced again waited in for delivery and another day for collection. The table also had a crack in it so we had to wait two and a half months for another one which only just arrived 2 days ago. When I spoke to then the agreement was that they assembled the new one for us but when they came the delivery men refused and left me with 2 very large tables and they were suppose to collect it yesterday but again I waited in all morning and eventually called them at 1pm only to be told that no one was coming and it would be friday. I waited in again today and still no collection and was told about 4 30 pm that they were not collecting now it suppose to be Monday. So far I have taken 8 days off and Monday will be 9 just because this company feel that it is okay to mess there custmers about and I have spoken with the OFT today who said they were horrified at the way that I have been treated and have a very valid complaint so will see what further assistance they can give on the matter. What I would say is if you don't want to be messed about and have 100% confidence in what you are buying then do not use this company. I have tried to contact Mr Simon Bilbie on more than a dozen occassions and still heard nothing from him and I am not holding my breath as they seem to pride themselves on poor communication!!

I Was Very Unsure As To Wether To Order From This
I was very unsure as to wether to order from this website as they arent well known i did a google search on them before hand and came across this site was very worried about the bad review i also found their ebay and amazon site and they have thousands of positive reviews but also some hideous ones! Anyway after looking round all the furniture stores we decided to still buy our £599 dining room table from here as we couldnt find the same in any shops for the price or with the suede brown chairs. ordered on jan 25th on the phone a few days later got a call with the date of delivery for 16th feb but got a email the night before the 16th cancelling the order without any explanation i got very worried but after emailing them had a call the next morning from a very helpful man with a new date of saturday 19th feb didnt get a call from the driver that morning to give an estimated delivery time so we rung them in the afternoon and got a call back a few minutes later with a time and at 4.30pm the table and chairs arrived and OMG they are amazing the table looks exactly like the photo and was easy for my fiance to put together the chairs came already together in a box with covers and they are amazing too we are so over the moon with it its beautiful it was definatly worth the wait and the bit of haassle i would say order from them as if there is any problemns they are very helpful on the phone we wouldnt of found this solid oak table from any store at this price.
they did the same to us cancelled delivery no explanation and the poblems did not end there

This Has Got To Be One Of The Worst Companies I Ha
This has got to be one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with on the internet. I wouldn't even give them 1 star for customer service if I had my way! I bought a lovely table and chairs on 1st December 2010 which stated 'guaranteed delivery before Christmas'. I could have got the same table at Harveys but would have to wait 6 weeks for delivery but could have got discount through family member. I went and bought some very expensive crockery, table linen and cutlery etc for special family meals over the Christmas.
The chairs turned up before Christmas which I found odd but put this down to two men being needed for the solid chunky Acacia table. Come Christmas Eve I emailed and phone in a panic that I had not received it but no answer and no reply. More emails sent and a response on 6th Jan to say Sorry and that we had been told that the table was sourced from Scotland and with the snow, this is why it was delay. This was not true and I sent them the email stating both table and chairs had been dispatched by an overnight courier. I sent them another email stating to collect the chairs, cancel the table and refund my money so I can get it cheaper at Harveys - which they haven't even bothered to get back to me. I will never recommend this company to anybody.
