Poor Attitude, Poor Service & Damaged Goods

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Good at taking money, reasonable at delivery but beware, 'next-day' costs extra. I opted for a pair of Hurstbridge 2 seater sofas on std delivery. The first was unpacked and assembled, no problems. As soon as the base of box 2 was was opened the damage was visible. The fabric that covers the base was ripped front to back where the zipper is located and a gaping 2.5ft, ragged hole in the fabric. Damage was probably caused by someone throwing the feet and fixings at the base with the zipper still done up. My wife telephone NDS immediately and was immediately told the under fabric is cosmetic and has nothing to do with the look or function of the sofa. She was told to send photos. When I arrived home I took the images and emailed to NDS explaining how the ripped & ragged under-fabric would show from the front of the sofa. The reply I had was concerning to say the least. I, like my wife, was told the under fabric was cosmetic and not a functioning part of the sofa. The reply went on to say that I, the customer, should tape up or pin the loose ragged fabric up, inside the sofa so it doesn't show. Not what I was expecting at all, no offer to replace. The sofas were the shape, style and colour that we wanted so after long debate we (my wife) wanted to keep them. If I had my way I would have gone to trading standards and if needed, dragged the idiot who wrote the reply's sorry ass through the courts if necessary. Furthermore, when unboxing and assembling the damaged sofa we also found the fixing holes, which the first sofa had to attach the feet were missing on the 2nd sofa. Clearly a reject which someone at NDS knew about when boxing the product and prep'ing it for dispatch. If you want to buy from this company and have the possibility of having to repair brand new goods yourself, go ahead and use them. The guy who wrote the reply has an attitude and lack of basic customer service that I'm sure will be the downfall of this shoddy organisation sooner or later. Also beware, 'leather' is not leather with NDS for those of you who don't know. It's bonded leather. You have to click around a bit on their site to discover this. There is a big difference and you can check out the differences on google. My advise again - DO NOT BUY FROM NEXT DAY SOFAS.

2 Seater Sutherland Recliner

I rang next day sofas last Friday spoke to sales team who were very professional I placed my order for delivery today (22.04.16) which arrived at 10.30 am . The delivery driver was very helpful the item was packaged very well. Once unpacked the sofa looked great the price was great to. Many thanks for a great service

ordered one 2 seater and one armchair. end of afternoon on agreed day of delivery courier service calmly told me snowed down with orders and couldnt deliver! the sales lady at next day sofas tried to sort ( fran) small van came was not made aware iwould have to lift the sofa myself!! the van driver dropped the sofa. after he left pallett left against my car without my knowledge or premission. my car scratched. the so called manager said he would get the courier to take away pallett. 2 weeks later still here.! numerous arguments they do not seem to care dont buy from these people they are not interested in service at all..beware. they say terms and conditions say blah blah blah. i am a lawyer...they do not. dont buy from this company. they may offer cheap sofas. but they are not the only to do so..shop around.

Poor Quality Sofas And Atrocious Customer Service

I purchased 2 x 3 seater reclining sofas and 1 2 seater reclining sofa for what I thought was a good deal.

What I ended up with is poorly manufactured sofas with seats that wobble and cushions which were not suitable for sitting on as they became extremely soft and worn within the first month.

Upon making a complaint, it took them a approximately 3 months to acknowledge the complaint, this was only because I, through perseverance contacted them multiple times. Following this acknowledgment, it still took them a month to send a technician to look into the issues with my sofas.

This 'technician' turned up late, without the correct tools and equipment claimeing he did not have enough time to fix the problems.

Furthermore, he would constantly say this is what reclining sofas are supposed to be like.

He tighten a few screws and rushed out - but then waited in his van outside our house for 30 minnutes before leaving. His report to the company stated he was at my house for 60 minutes when in fact he was barely there for 20 minutes!

Upon complaining to the company, they sent another 'technician' at their "own cost". This gentleman confessed he was only there to take photographs of the sofa. He was not there to check if there was a problem with the sofas. He was out of the house in 10 minutes - his report states he was there for 40 minutes.

The company are refusing to accept there is a problem with the sofas and believe they have complied with the minimum legal requirement and have closed the matter.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!! You will not be satisfied and they do not care. I will be taking this up with Trading Standards and well other regulatory bodies to ensure people are made aware of their unscrupulous business.

Lovely Sofa And Lovely People

I rang up next day sofas a week ago when I was looking for my new suite, a very nice young lady advised me on best recliners to get for my money so we went for a 3 seat reclining settee in brown leather with an armchair that matched, paid an extra £20 to have faster delivery and it came the very next day as promised, and its lovekly all chuffed to bits with it, and the staff don’t sound like robots on the phone like some places you ring. would recommend.

I disagree with this rating and believe people will be misled into thinking this is a reputable company.

You will find your sofas deteriorate within 6 months if not sooner! You will also find that the company will not do anything at all to resolve this. They will send someone incompetent to look at them and declare in their reports either;

1) Issues have been resolved

2) There were no issues in the first place.

Please save yourself the headache and additional costs and stay away from them!

Lovely Sofas, Nice People

Spoke to a lovely girl on the phone when ordered my new suite, was great not to talk to a robot like many other companies, and she gave davice on what was the best recliners to get for my money. Paid an extra £20 to get next day delivery, instead of free longer delivery. Came late in the afternoon the next day as promised, and we all loves it.Very happy~!

Aviod, Terrible Quality Sofas And Appaling Customer Service

NEXT DAY SOFAS ( KH Direst) - Purchased suite in April 2013, quality looked poor but within days a piece of broken wood came out from under chair, effectively rendering it useless. other chair also had stability issues. Complained and the company sent in " Homeserve" assesor to assess the problem , however he spent 10 minutes in the house and only looked and photographer base of chair and sent in a report stating customer misuse, " unbelievable", can only assume that this is why they use homeserve to ensure they dont examine the furniture properly and get next day sofas off the hook. Speaking to Nextday sofas was appaling, absolutely no customer care ethic and took no responsibility whatsoever for what was faulty goods. Now we have to revert to legal means to try and get our money back from them

A Total Farce!

We ordered new sofas from here as we really needed them fast. Turns out that because we live in scotland it takes a few extra days and cost a bit more but that seemed fair and would still be a lot faster than anywhere else. Unfortunately after being told to expect delivery on the wednesday we were phoned and told that it would actually be saturday. Still not a big deal. Only, saturday came and went without so much as a phone call. Customer service then promised to get things sorted by the monday and phone me at 9.30ish. No call. We called them. They then got in touch with the courier and assured us it would be delivered bettween 1 and 2pm that day. No soffa came. We called again. They then promised 10 mins till the driver arrived. But an hour later and still nothing we had to phone them yet again now getting very irate. A few mins later the courier called and informed us the sofa is STILL IN THE WAREHOUSE! Ive so far taken 3 unpaid days off work to wait on this shower or clowns. Its been nearly 2 weeks and still no sofa. AVOID!!!!

Terrible Customer Service

I ordered a pair of sofas expecting delivery in 2-5 working days. Thier small print advises can be up to 30 days and they arent responsible for any losses arising from this. I was sceptical but sure enough received a call within the week to arrange delivery. On the day I called at 3.30 and 5pm, and was assured each time that it was on the lorry and would be with me before 6. No sofas arrived and I had no call to say why or apologise. When I eventually contacted them they said they were behind in delivery, yet had been unable to tell me that at 5pm?!! I was disgusted. Due to kerbside delivery two of us had to stay off work, losing wages as self employed and had to wait again the following day for the second attempt. They agreed a one hour time slot to apologise, but failed to deliver within this time yet again. When I complained I was slapped with the terms and conditions. I appreciate I agreed to these, but when Im being told specifically my representatives of the company on three occasions that the item will arrive on a certain day, i expect them to stick to this. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY HAVE NO ISSUES WITH LETTING CUSTOMERS DOWN AND DO NOTHING TO COMPENSATE! Sofa colour also not as described/picured and were pretty dirty on the underneath/sides when unpackaged! Shoddy workmanship and shoddy customer service.
