Still Waiting For Delivery Which Failed To Turn Up.

arranged delivery date has come and gone no help yet to resolve the date.

Multiyork blame the delivery company, however I say it is still there problem.

They have failed in the duty of care to the customer who made a full payment several months ago for the service they offered.

I am now considering contacting my card company to return the payment to me.

Since purchasing the furniture in August 2016 I am still awaiting a satisfactory conclusion. To go into further detail; the first delivery was made in August after purchasing the furniture whilst on a short break in Harrogate. The furniture arrived; a large footstool and matching chair.

Having chosen and paying extra for a good quality checked fabric the furniture was revealed; Not one of the pieces of furniture was acceptable, the fabric did not match where it had been stitched together, curved lines instead of straight line to name but a few issues.

Complaint was delt with promptly by the shop in Harrogate; however things got worse once dealing with Head Office Customer Services.

A second delivery was made; the furniture was even worse that the first delivery, duly a complaint was raised. An offer of a replacement was discussed, the furniture to be collected and a temporary replacement was to be delivered, bearing in mind I did request a neutral colour to be delivered due to a family occasion.

The replacement was delivered; bright orange !!

On this I refused the delivery and with anticipation agreed to keep the second delivery until a new order was raised.

In January 2017 6 months from the initial purchase my third delivery was made.

The shock from both myself and the delivery driver when unwrapping the first item was indescribable; the footstool not only was stitched incorrectly but the straight line on the check was a lovely curve, the chair was then revelled to show 2 holes in the underside.

Since requesting a full refund and a promise of a return phone call; to this date not received. This is the worst customer service imaginable, having even emailed the Managing Director personally.

Appalling Customer Service

I went to Multiyork as expected good quality goods however have now had 4 damaged pieces of furniture. Multiyork have offered me a measley £400 to keep the damaged sofa when I could currently buy it in the sale for substantially less than the £3,500 I paid for it. I have explained that I am severely disabled, despite this they insist on removing the sofa leaving me with nothing to sit on before they will refund me so I can buy another sofa. You should be ashamed of yourselves, I will never buy from you again.

Worst Customer Service Ever Experienced

MultiYork look like they make great furniture but at a much higher cost than elsewhere. I was prepared to take that chance when they had a sale. The staff are fine in store, but I found serious problems once the deposit was taken.

Firstly, I was told I would be contacted before the delivery date. I wasn't. It was only be contacting MultiYork that I found that they hadn't made the sofas yet after 7 weeks and that there was a problem with the material and it would be another 7 weeks.

During this additional 7 weeks they mailed me a £100 off voucher along with their latest sales, very good at mailing you the sales stuff, rubbish at keeping their active customers informed.

I was given a new date, but again not hearing anything, I contacted MultiYork to find out that they were still having problems with the material. Only this time they offered to change the material to one of the same grade/standard as way of compensation. Which if they'd have done this before, I probably would be writing a much better review.

On pressing them for actual compensation, I was informed they'd only offer goodwill after delivery of the sofas and that they'd contact me once they'd been able to check the material.

That contact didn't come and rather than chasing them for a 3rd time, I cancelled my order and went to Next saving myself over £1,000 for the same thing and having it delivered still before MultiYork could manage. By this point I had no trust left in them regarding the goodwill, likely it would have just been another money off voucher to use in store rather than discounting the original order.

In short, MultiYork, great at taking your money but you simply can not trust them to deliver or keep you informed which is appalling considering the high costs that they charge.

Worst customer service I have ever had the misfortune to experience.
