If There Was An Option For 0 Stars....

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! Arranged numerous times to have my furniture delivered only for it to not arrive, but was never informed by the company.

When I called up to find out where the delivery was I was given awful excuses like "the delivery men didn't get to the warehouse in time to collect the items" or "the items require 2 men to deliver and they didn't realise so they only had 1"

Tried to speak to a manager who refused to talk to me. Decided to cut my losses and cancel the order only to never receive the money back. Ended up having to get the bank involved to forcefully remove the money from their account.

Worst customer service EVER! No information given even when promised that they would call if the delivery would not happen for any reason, and a manager who refuses to talk to customers!!

Don't waste your energy- spend a little more and actually receive your furniture!

Item Not Delivered And No Refund

I ordered a wardrobe from Furniture UK on 17 September 2014 and payment was immediately taken from my card. I was informed that the item in question was not in stock and the wait time would be several months so I asked to cancel the order. After several months chasing via email and phone, I am yet to receive a refund or a response from the company. Their phone lines appear to be disconnected and the emails bounce. Avoid at all costs. I am now looking into my options in terms of possibly taking them to a small claims court.

Thanks for this message. How did you find out that they are in liquidation? It would be good to know so I can direct my bank to this information...

This is all true; found out today Co is in liquidation BUT still taking orders AND have another company selling the same stuff so WATCH out. Used B/card so hopefully will get my money back. Surely there is a law against this type of deliberate fraud where they know they will take the money but never supply the goods?

Bought some coffee tables from here had to wait months ... Then when they finally arrived they were rubbish quality is really bad .. I would not buy from these guys every again

Horrendous -paid For Items 12 Weeks Ago & Still Not Recieved

I ordered two items on the 15th October. When they hadn't been received I chased them up. When they were eventually delivered, 10 weeks later, one of the items was missing. I queried this with them and was advised it was out of stock and would be back in on 19th December 2014. I had not been advised they were out of stock before now. The 19th has been and gone and my item has still not been delivered, and all of my phone calls, emails, messages left through their website have not been responded to. My advice.... DO NOT USE THEM!!

I Placed An Order For A Cabinet Back In August Wit

I placed an order for a cabinet back in August with the promise of a delivery time of 5 days!!! I'm still waiting .......their phone line constantly rings or when someone does answer excuses are made about logistics, I was promised a cheque refund, which is dodgey straight away!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, luckily my bank is investigating and have refunded me, Google the directors you will come up with two very suspicious characters!

5 to 20 working days delivery a joke; table delivered with no legs, lost in warehouse, delivery another 3 weeks.terrible customer service, no return phone calls or Emails unless you keep phoning them.

Incorrect Chest Of Drawers & Refusal To Communicate !

I ordered a chest of drawers described as "golden pine" and "lacquered" on furnitureuk.co.uk. But when delivered, it was much darker - a sombre grey stained wood not matching the website's description or photo.

And there were cracks in the joints, making it unfit for assembly. I phoned them within 24 hours of opening the package, requesting a refund/return, and I sent photos as they asked.

But after that, there was no reply at all from them for 2 weeks until I complained to official bodies. Then came an email, "We never received the photos from you".

But, of course I had sent an email and posted 3 letters, all enclosing photos.

Look carefully on review sites and there are over 50 implicating reviews - including bouncing cheque refunds, huge delays, dishonest behaviour and refusal to communicate.

Still Waiting For My Wardrobe

I ordered and paid for a wardrobe from furnitureuk on the 15th sept 2014.I have spent a lot of time phoning them,most of the time I got an answering machine,when I did manage to get them it was "we will ask logistics".9 times out of ten nobody got back to me.When I managed to talk to them it was its not ready yet.and it will be ready for couriers to pick up.twice they said it will be collected.I did phone TMF couriers and they had no record of this.I reported this to furntureuk,now they say they no longer deal with these couriers.I am sick of this and I feel they are lying to me.I questioned furnitureuk today about being in liquidation and they denied it.And they would get back to me today. still waiting.I would never use this company again,and advice people to never use them.I feel they are rip off merchants.Also the girls who answer the phones all have the same voice,FISHY.

I wonder if they read these complaints if you do WHERE IS MY ORDER.

I shall be in touch with Trading Standards.

I too have gone through this. I highly recommend speaking to your bank about a charge back! it has worked for a few people, in which the payment is reversed and investigated.

I think we should start a group action against them with fellow customers suffering the problems and take them to court. you will not get your goods or money back from them if my experiences are anything to go by

Have cancelled order above from Furnitureuk,waiting for refund,not here yet,Thursay the bank will take it up,as paid by debit card.So furnitureuk Im sure you wont beat the bank.

Do Not Use Them!

having waited 6 weeks for a wardrobe delivery ( not 5-9 days as stated ) I was told the stock was unavailable. I was offered a refund that could only be paid via a check. After 3 weeks of no check I was told a refund would be paid via bank transfer, currently after another 2 weeks and despite calling every day I am yet to receive my refund. They have to date had my money for 3 months with no sign of a refund!

I have had the same problem when I cancelled a order with this company, they have still not paid me back my £293.00, and I am looking at other ways to retrieve it, how are they allowed to keep doing this,why have trading standards not stopped them.

As with previous customers we too found service beyond belief. Read rave reviews before placing the order - did they write them themselves? Order for chair placed and paid for Oct 9th with promise of delivery in 5 - 15 days. Last we heard of it until I started searching the web for other companies to provide chair. Located and phoned a supplier one that had same chairs arriving following Monday and that they had just reduced in price. Furniture UK promised to match the reduced price and that they would send chair and refund cheque by end of month (Nov). Because I had already been in contact with the alternative company they phoned yesterday to follow up my enquiry and to see if I wanted to place an order as they had the courier coming to London this Friday. To cut a long story short, it transpired that this company was the importer to the UK for this product - & that Furniture UK would be purchasing the chair from them anyway to sell on to us. Although we had paid beginning of Oct - when the supplier phoned them for payment prior to releasing the chair to them -- they cancelled the order. Had I not already been in contact with their supplier (quite by chance) we would never had know that the chairs had arrived in the country and that our order was not dealt with. The next shipment would then not happen until after Christmas and I imagine that Furniture UK would had contacted us and said that the problem was with the supplier - not them. Their excuses that they were having problems with their courier is untrue. According to this particular supplier - they do not have couriers - they use the suppliers courier.

Have this company gone into administration? Ordered a bed 2 weeks ago, no communication and they cannot be contacted through website or tel no. They are only taking messages, but are still taking orders!
