Poor Quality Goods
I ordered a duvet set and curtains from Childrens' Rooms. I have given them two stars as the delivery was prompt. However, the items were made of extremely poor quality material so did not want to keep them. There was no returns label with the product and on phoning, I was told they would only pay postage if goods were faulty and that poor quality was not considered to be faulty. (In my opinion, cheap quality material does constitute a fault)
It cost me £8.99 to send them back. When I received my refund, they had only refunded for one item. I phoned again and was told that because the duvet cover (which was still folded in the way it arrived) was not in its plastic cover, they would not refund. He did agree then to refund the other item.
Be very careful if you decide to order from this company.

Arguing With A Customer On Social Media About Product Fault
I ordered an item which came with a fault I contacted customer services who sent a replacement. The replacement had no pillowcase so I emailed to ensure this had been removed before despatched and not another issue with there supplier. I was not asking for the pillowcase just checking. I was then told by email the pillowcase had been removed due to it having a fault. I wrote a review commenting on how it looked bad that two sets both had faults or that if it didn't and had been removed an excuse of fault had worsened my opinion of the product makers my me think two sets had a fault. A customer service rep then argued back on customer service with a excessive use of exclamation marks coming across as very aggressive. Really poor customer service and very low quality product

Standard over-priced goods which can be bought anywhere. I always try to support family-run small businesses and they usually offer high levels of customer service. Not in this case. Impersonal, unhelpful and unfriendly in the event of a delivery problem.

Used The Children's Rooms Website To Order Furnish
Used the Children's Rooms website to order furnishings for a boy's 'Ben 10' bedroom. It was very easy to use, and the goods very quickly turned up after the Christmas period. Ordering with express delivery meant an email was received which provided an on-line ability to track the delivery (giving extra confidence in ordering on-line). Unfortunately when received one of the items ordered was faulty (not possible to see from external packaging which was all in tact) - however the customer service from staff at Children's Rooms was exceptional. A quick telephone call to them (phone answered promptly) resolved the issue and a replacement item was received next day. Emails answered quickly too. Fantastic service and to be highly recommended! A very good example of how good online shopping can be.
