Mistaken Identity...
There seems to have been a great deal of confusion amongst the reviewers on here.
These terrible reviews are for a company called:
Healthy LIVING Direct
However, this review section is for a company called Healthy Direct, who trade as Healthspan.
I have been purchasing from Healthspan for many, many years now, with very little issue, all of which have been dealt with swiftly and professionally.
Healthspan do not offer free gifts, or hold prize draws, which is one way to distinguish them from Healthy Living Direct.
I have not had any problems with delivery, nor their products. And their staff are always courteous and friendly, and offer excellent customer service.

Ordered Five Items July 10 2016 Via Their Order F
Ordered five items JULY 10 2016 via their order form , value including p&p was £30.95, so claimed free leather bag plus two
free gifts. Eventually found correct tele number,. So after two calls, one letter then several emails, would be getting in touch with trading standards, finally on 14 SEPTEMBER 2016 a rather large plastic bag was delivered, at last I thought!!!!!
On opening said bag tipped it upside down, I have never seen so many booklets and papers advertising their products.
Four items only in bag no free handbag plus two free gifts that were rubbish, straight in the bin. Non of the items where worth the money !!! Sent email to them on 15 Sept asking about bag. Do not expect to here from them.
WILL NOT BE USING THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!!!!

The Worst Company I Have Ever Dealt With
I dealt with this company on behalf of my mother and they sent her substandard and inappropriate items for a person of her age. When I wanted to refund them I had to pay for the cost of the returning them myself. Three times the customer service people on the other end of the line put the phone down. They are dreadful to deal with, extremely unhelpful and unprofessional and it took many many weeks to sort the refund out but I still had to pay over £15.00 to return their sub-standard and inappropriate items. This company should be closed down. It's a total rip-off.

They Should Be Closed Down
Healthy Living Direct aka HOUSEWARES DIRECT! are TO BE AVOIDED. I checked for reviews for Housewares Direct before ordering and there wern't any so decided to place an order with them. Little did I know that they also trade as Healthy Living Direct and boy! there are loads of unhappy reviews about them. My experience was more or less the same as Kelley below. I placed my order on 15 October and they acknowleged it and advised that they despatch within 72 hours via Hermes carriers and to expect delivery withing 10 days. 14 days later nothing. Sent email via their website to find out what was happening. Heard nothing so tried both telephone numbers with no luck. Finally I sent a message via my own message service. They replied with the usual rubbish saying the item was out of stock and they were expecting further supplies in 2-3 weeks. I complained about the fact that they hadn't advised me about the item being out of stock. I told them that it was unacceptable and to cancel the order.They came back saying that they had refunded my money back to my credit card issuer and to wait 3 working days for it to show on my account. That was 5 days ago with no refund. I have contacted them again today to be told that they posted a cheque to me 2 days ago and to wait 10 days to receive it. I hit the roof! I've told them to refund me to my credit card account immediately or I will seek advice from a third party to resolve this matter. I've also informed them that I am a pensioner and can't afford to wait any longer for my money! EVERYBODY NEEDS TO BE WARNED ABOUT THEM!

I've Been Buying Many Useful Products From This Or
I've been buying many useful products from this organization & its subsidiaries over the the last 06 years. However, their customer service is nothing but diabolical!
These are the problems that I've experienced.
01) They can't take an order properly over the phone most of the time.
02) Their staff can't match prize entry codes on offer with a suitable purchase when taking an order by phone.
03) Their staff tend to be argumentative when taking orders.
04) Because of such unprofessionalism, I've had to phone them up repeatedly to properly confirm an order.
05) Quite often, they delay to deliver the ordered goods much later than the 14 days that they promise. That has caused me suspense.
06) When they deliver the goods, there invariably are shortcomings of the ordered products or free gifts that are offered.
07) Such imperfections cause me to call them up again in order to chase up the orders.
08) They take further time to deliver items missing from the original order.
09) Whenever I change my address and inform them to that effect, they can't change the address in their records for 06 weeks! Thus, they continue to send post to the old address.
10) Once I asked them for a refund of some orders as they hadn't been delivered. After many weeks' of waiting, when I chased them up and inquired about it, they alleged that the goods had been delivered. Finally when I submitted proof that they hadn't made the delivery, they sent the goods of the orders instead.
11) On another occasion they had claimed that my credit card payment that I'd made for a purchase hadn't gone through. On checking, I found that the payment had in fact been authorised. However, I had to send them 04 letters in order to get a response from them!
12) On each & every occasion that I faced a problem, I've written to them about it. However, they only responded once by post and once by phone. Therefore, they've mostly being ignoring the problems and apparently not taken any effort to rectify them either.
13) After all these problems, they falsely alleged that I'd asked for their mail to me to be suppressed. As a consequence, they said that they'd flagged my account and couldn't send any more orders to my address too. When I wrote to them saying that I haven't in fact asked for such a thing to be done, they never replied for the last 10 months.
14) In spite of this, they continued to send their mail with catalogues & special offers etc by post. Neither had they ever got back with any news about any gifts or prizes won.
15) Finally, after this plethora of irritating problems, I sent them a letter recently asking them to remove my details from their customer database and suppress all mail to me.
Looking back, as a customer I'm heartily fed up with this organization but do enjoy some of the products that I've purchased to this day!!!

Do Not Deal With This Company
Once many years ago I bought 'some rubbish' from this company. Since when they have sent me told me of winnings etc. I have asked to be removed from their mailing list on many occasions, both by phone and letters but to no avail.
Now I just remove the stuff from them and send it back without a stamp and hopefully they will get the message although I doubt this as they are very thick skinned.

Appauling Customer Service!
I ordered a Nevada riser recliner chair from Healthy Living Direct - Order No. 227796. Worst Customer service I have ever had the misfortune to come across! Lack of information regarding delivery, very vague, no consistency, I was told something different each time I phoned the so called 'Customer Services' department. When I asked to speak to a supervisor they were never in. I was promised a phone call back on two separate occasions; I did not get a phone call either time. I also emailed but I am still awaiting a reply. To cap it all the chair was eventually delivered (for want of a better word) as it was just left in my front garden. It should have been delivered to my Mum's address, as clearly stated in the delivery instructions, so they couldn't even get this right! If I had known Healthy Living Direct were this inept I would never had ordered from them, and I will certainly never order from them again! I would advise other people to go elsewhere - or expect a great deal of unnecessary hassle!

Takes Too Long To Deliver
I ordered goods from this company on 1/09/14...when the goods were still not delivered after 10 days..I emailed them ..told them if the goods were out of stock to refund my money....next day I got an email back saying goods had been dispatched on 11/09 14...why did it take 10 days to leave the warehouse....I also contacted my credit card company before the goods were delivered and asked their advice..the money had been taken on 1/09/14..they said to give them 2 weeks...and if I still hadn't received the order then I had to phone the number he gave me ...and they would get my money back....
fortunately I got my order today...12/09/14....quite poor quality.....and I wouldn't risk buying from them again...I would say to anyone thinking of ordering from healthy living....read these reviews first....

The Worst Company I've Ever Ordered From!!!
Payment taken immediately even though items not in stock...telephone customer services all gave different information none of which was correct re stock/ delivery of items. Email advice not much better!!! Still waiting on items several weeks later...NOT HAPPY...WE NEED TO ADVISE EVERYONE OF THIS APPALLING SERVICE!!!

ordered razors on 27/4/2014, payment taken instantly. Its now the 24/5/2014 and after 3 emails not responded to I am writing a letter. I would not recommend this site and wish I would have seen these reviews before I ordered.Useless is to nice a word!.
