No One Home & Bad Product
I bought four semi-precious stone bracelets from Crystal Rock Emporium. Two of them were not close to online description/photo. Two weeks after receiving them, one is broken. Only one is holding out so far. I have contacted the company by phone and email six times now and have not heard one response. I am disappointed in the company, the quality of the product is seriously lacking, and they have no customer service whatsoever. I will conduct a chargeback through my credit card company. Too bad. Do not buy from them.

Chat And Vision
10AUG12
Chat and Vision sent me the wrong product. The item I ordered, a Jabra hands-free headset, costing $99.99. They sent a similar item which costs $65.00 and charged me $99.99. According to Jabra they are similar products, but definitely two different products, supported by two different divisions of Jabra.
I have never had such a difficult time communicating with an on-line vendor, and can’t believe that Chat and Vision is a Microsoft-Skype business partner which needs to review its customer service policies with an eye toward serving its customers.
During the course of my interaction with Chat and Vision, which is available through e-mail only, I have:
1. Had to provide photos of my order, the packing slip, and the item box label.
2. Been told that the item I received was the same as the item I ordered, which according to Jabra is untrue.
3. Been told that prices change all the time on the Internet, and that being charged $99.99 for a $65.00 item was my problem for ordering at the wrong time.
4. Been asked for a screen shot of where I saw the less expensive product listed for the amount I quote. I sent two screen shots, one from Dell and one from Amazon.
5. Contact my credit card company which reversed the Chat and Vision charge of $99.99.
6. Finally given an Internet link and password where I could effect a return, but told that the shipping cost had to be paid by me.
7. Contact Chat and Vision yet one more time to obtain an address for the return since such was not provided on the Internet site.
8. After contacting someone at Microsoft by phone yesterday who then contacted someone at Chat and Vision I did receive the following response this morning:
Dear Gene,
We are writing in reference to the item you have received.
We are aware of your case information and our quality assurance team is already reviewing it for quality assurance purposes. Management takes great measures to ensure service is kept to our usual optimal standards; hence this matter is being treated with high priority.
As gesture of goodwill and to rectify the case amicably, our relevant team has agreed to offer you a partial refund of 30 USD should you wish to keep the item instead.
Otherwise, we are open to accept your return for refund/replacement and a collection of the parcel will provided.
We hope the above arrangement is acceptable. Do let us know if otherwise.
Our apologies for any inconvenience caused, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
Gupi

"Skype's Global Merchant Partner"
9. I mailed the item back to Chat and Vision yesterday, at my cost. I have asked them to reimburse me for the shipping. We’ll see what happens.
I don’t think that a company which interacts with its customers in this fashion should be the preferred vendor (partner) for any company. When I originally researched obtaining a hands free headset, I decided that I would buy the product through Skype to ensure that I obtained a product that worked with their system. Chat and Vision is prominently displayed on the Skype site as the featured retailer which indicated to me that they would be the most responsible and above board retailer – not true.
To Sum Things Up...
Ages ago used their website. I remember not ordering for ages but then they put up this must have offer. It looked excellent. I did research and they had many negative reviews. Before ordering I thought the site was running well and seemed 1 of the best.
The offer still looked excellent. They said it was ex homebrew kit stock they had acquired. They had a limited number of "silver can's". Which were each 40 pint beer kits of well known brands that had their labels ripped off them.
I believed their story. The price was excellent. £4 a can or 4 for £12. Considering each 40 pint homebrew kit can is usually £10 or more each, this seemed a deal not to be missed.
Decided to stock up and buy 20 cans. Seemingly enough to brew 800 pints which would keep me brewing for a year or 2.
Got them... About a month after ordering though. All seemed ok until I looked at the dates. They were well out of date (some by a year or more).
This already is a breach of trading standards laws. For consumable products (things with a best before/use by date on it). They can only be sold if they are out of date if they are advertised as out of date and heavily reduced.
I tried 3 of the kits I bought. All were very bad batches. Tasted really off. Some like sherry, others brewed as slush. Checking online... 90% of people who bought the silver can kits also had bad batches.
I put it down to the fact that these are known to have manufacturing faults and are dodgy batches which were never meant to be used. What I believe is that this website bought them cheap off a returns warehouse. They were never meant for sale, but instead to be emptied and use the empty cans for scrap metal.
Didnt order again but everyone has had problems with them.
When people would give negative comments on forums or to them, they would simply threaten to sue the website hosting the negative content or ignore it. A serious downfall for the company as any must take criticism and work on it.
In the end theres all sorts of speculation on what happened to them. They went bust, they closed due to the complaints having a negative effect on their company.... I think its a combo

Worst Company Online.... Ever,
Purchased some homebrew equipment from these clowns. Waited weeks for faulty
items then they refused point blank to rectify or refund. Will not reply to email or letter. Am taking them to court.
By the way, there is no telephone contact and all their onsite reviews are false, there is no mechanism for reviewing their products.

Avoid!
I ordered an item described as "in stock", they charged my credit card immediately but only a few days later did they mention it was out of stock and would be a few weeks. I cancelled, and had an acknowledgement of the cancellation and a promise the money would be refunded within 10 days. Months later I'm still waiting; emails go ignored and they have no phone number. AVOID THIS AWFUL COMPANY!!!

Shambolic................
Where to start,The home page is very good, great prices and special offers etc and everything shows as in stock GREAT.Ordering and paying was easy enough, then thats where it starts going DOWNHILL.
Your in stock items now show as out of stock on your order hmmm.So you think why not cancel order? not that easy you have to send them a recorded delivered letter to cancel as they have no phone number. So your estimated delivery date is a week from order, not the \"aim to dispatch within 24 hrs\" on there website.Next your order will show in transit from main warehouse for at least a week. Then show available ,great.Oh no its gone from available again to in transit with your delivery date moving further away again. If you log in before midnight you get one delivery date then check again 1 minute after midnight and your delivery date has moved on another day.Email them and you get an automated reply with no actual answers to your questions.
So beware there deals look great, but you probably will not get them. And if you want to write a review on there trustpilot page you need to get a code first. They are not to far from me ,maybe 30 miles so will head down to there warehouse in the week to sort it out.
Appalling Customer Service
I ordered items from their website and wanted to change the order. No response - I tried again - no response - I tried to cancel the order - no response. There is no phone number on the website or any or their array of websites.
In this day and age of on line purchasing this is absolutely not acceptable and I would avoid buying from this site at all costs. Pay the extra 50p and get a decent level of service.
I only hope that my bank can get my money back for me.
