Failed To Deliver…
I ordered a bottle of champagne and some chocolates for a lifelong friend in Wales to celebrate an important wedding anniversary. I received emails from the company telling me it was on the way. On the morning of the delivery (September 23rd) the tracking app told me that he would deliver it between 4:15 & 5:15. Throughout the day I was then told that he was running late but would deliver by 9:00; that he was late but hoped to deliver by 9:00 and finally, at 10:00 that he was sorry he missed us and he’d be back tomorrow. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. My plan for my friends anniversary has been totally RUINED by this companies INCOMPETENCE. How hard is it to deliver something when you’ve said it can be done and had 5 days to do it??
If you’re buying for an important event DONT TRUST THIS COMPANY: you will be DISAPPOINTED.

Following our email communications with you yesterday (24th September excerpts are below) we have fully refunded you, recalled the gift and you have agreed the matter is now closed. I would just like to reiterate that if a courier issue occurs, and sadly sometimes breakdowns etc. do occur, our team are here to help. The time difference due to you being in the US obviously added to your frustration together with you being unable to speak with anyone from DPD. We were informed by DPD of the issue the following morning and established through them that there had been a vehicle breakdown. We too get very frustrated when this happens (as previously stated) as we cannot control the couriers...
We use all major UK couriers and they all have issues such as this at times. Our staff are always available during business hours to speak to on the phone and they will go the extra mile to resolve any issue as fast as possible.
Once again we are sorry your experience with us was not as we would expect and can assure you we work very closely with couriers to improve services. As a small family owned and run company we are not able to hand deliver our gifts.

May I start by offering my utmost sincere apologies for this missed delivery by the delivery couriers and the obvious frustration and disappointment this has caused to your good-self.
We have spoken with the couriers DPD and our Account Manager first thing this morning and clearly voiced our major disappointment regarding this delivery failure and the upset it has caused. We have been advised that the driver had suffered a vehicle breakdown and had tried to get this resolved. He was trying to continue his deliveries but without success. We have stressed that this should have shown on the tracking history notes as this would have clarified the reason for the delay. This sort of delay is unfortunately outside of anyone's control, however we feel that had they clearly shown the correct reason it would at least have made all parties aware. Again my sincere apologies for this on behalf of the courier company.
To address your e-mails into our office. We close at 5.00pm GMT so we were not made aware of the problem until first thing this morning, so once again my sincere apologies as the time difference has not aided the situation and obviously added to your frustrations. As a small family owned and run business we pride ourselves on our service levels. We do everything in our power to ensure the safe and timely delivery of each and every gift we send and have done for the last 25 years. Of course things can go wrong with deliveries and again we pride ourselves on constantly working with our couriers to improve things and of keeping our customers informed as soon as we are aware of an issue. We also get frustrated when things go wrong as it is out of our hands.
I would like to call you today (your morning time) to discuss this matter before we post our reply onto Google. We are also happy to have the package Stopped and returned to us as requested by you and we have immediately fully refunded your order as per your e-mail request to Paypal, copied to our Team.
We of course totally understand and appreciate your frustration and disappointment to have missed your friends special occasion which we can see from the many e-mails you sent overnight whilst our offices were closed . Our small team are here to help in an imperfect world. They do a fantastic job and really go the extra mile for our clients.

Poor Communication & Still Waiting For Refund
Ordered a Christmas gift for delivery to recipient. Had email on 09/12 to say no one at address. I emailed straight back saying could be delivered to a neighbour and gave recipients phone number. No delivery, no call, I was not advised. Only when I contacted recipient did I find out no delivery. Called b&b on 19/12 to be told item had been returned to them. No info forthcoming. Refund requested including delivery costs. Still waiting. Appalling service and communication.

Ditch The Courier
Our order was due to be delivered on 29th October. However, by approx 7pm that evening we were still waiting. We checked Yodel Tracking and it said that the parcel had been returned to depot - delivery not attempted. I emailed Bottled & Boxed that evening and was emailed back in the morning to advise me that it would be looked into. They then contacted me and said they had been calling Yodel all day but the phone wasn't answered. The lady was helpful and took home the telephone numbers and gave me her personal mobile number. On the 31st October she advised me that she had finally been able to get in contact with Yodel and that I would be contacted. I was contacted and the package was finally delivered. However, the box of champagne was damaged, which sadly added insult to injury. The lady who dealt with me at Bottled and Boxed was extremely helpful, but this was very disappointing.
Simple
This was a straight forward transaction,
Delivery was as instructed
On time
I sent it as a gift for my son, he was delited

Helpful And There Is Real People On The Phone.
I ordered a gift of champagne and chocolates to be delivered on a Monday as a gift for a wedding, at first it was not delivered on the Monday. But after looking in to this it turns out I had given the wrong post code. this was corrected and reattempted and delivered the same bay.
All dealt with, in one phone call. It is allays nice to know you can phone a real person on the phone.
The site was a bit slow at points but im glad i ordered as, they did what they said they would do.

Inefficient & Poor Customer Service
Champagne was not delivered to the recipient on the correct date and Boxed & Bottled had to be contacted several times before it was finally received.
Boxed and Bottled blamed their delivery company and refused to accept responsibility.
Very poor customer service, and I would definitely not use them again or recommend their company to others - The company also appears to trade under 3 different names? - Drinx.com, Champers Direct & Bottled & Boxed???!!!

Fantastic Range Of Champagne Gifts!
I brought a Champagne gift for my Mam who lived in London, I live in Newcastle, I was a bit sceptical at first but the gift was a good price, and delivery was made on time. So I was happy, Most importantly my mam loved her present.
I will use this service again.
