Dishonest And Misleading
Misleading info cost me £1000 and despite contacting them they don’t get back to me!
They advertise the vuesat as ground breaking technology self seeking satellite that can go on a Campervan roof, which is true but you can’t leave it on your roof like all other self seeking satellites and it has to face south so not really self seeking as you have to point it the right way first!
Don’t be fooled by them.

Would Never Buy Their Products Again.
We bought a portable SatGear satellite dish from this company on 03/08/16 through ebay at a cost of £119. 95. We bought this as it seemed a fair price and we wanted to see some of the Olympics while we were away camping. The advertisement shows a compass with this set up but we did not receive one. When we contacted the company they said that they no longer supply this as most people had a smart phone and a compass was a free app. We told them that we did not have a smartphone so they sent us one the which arrived the next day. It made us laugh at the size of this as it was less than the diameter of a 10p piece and was totally unacceptable. When we tried to set the dish up at the campsite we could not get a signal on the TV. We tried everything but had no luck. On our return home we tested everything that we could accept the LNB which we could not test. We then bought a new LNB from ebay at a cost of £8 and the system then worked. When we contacted the company about this they told us that as it was only 1% of LNBs that fail then they do not think that it is a problem that they should be concerned about. In the instructions that arrived it does say that it is extremely rare that the LNB is faulty. They spoiled us seeing the Olympics and then tried to say that it was an acceptable fault and that we should accept it. They never offered a refund of any moneys that we had paid out or for the fault on their product causing us a loss of enjoyment. In our view they are a totally amateur company and we would not recommend anyone to have any dealings with them.

Amateur Company With Bad Customer Service/aftersales
Everything sounded fine after a couple of calls to confirm a few details about equipment needed etc. Recieved a similar call as others did to say they didnt have the length of shotgun cable required, there would be a delay of a day, send out special next day delivery, amazingly it arrived. Fitted all the gear ok, instructions a little all over the place and extremely over complicated. Homed in on the astra satellites ok, but had a handful of channels only to view on my television with built in freesat, which was strange? I phoned to ask, and immediately thought they didn't really care so much as I not purchased the freesat box off them, the guy in charge said it must be my 3 month old television at fault, and to check my manual or supplier of television, at this point Im still not convinced and feel Im being fobbed off! I ring again, after checking all connections, instructions and equipment many times and realigning of dish, but no improvement. Again proprietor is getting funny, and says he cant help really as he cant speak for my tv manufacturer, offers little solution to problem, emails me a list of channels I should recieve, almost adding insult to injury! I then get an independent freesat installer out, who confirms dish is pointing bang on and he cant see why I cant get channels, he checks the cabling at the tv end, to find massive drop out of signal strength. I am advised by the independent aerial guy to replace my cable, and its the micro shotgun cable at fault, thanks for your help I say. With my knowledge gaining momentum, I re ring sat gear to be told the proprietor is on the other line, he will call you back. I call again an hour later, to be fobbed off their busy, I persist and get to speak to the proprietor, who feeds me the best bull Ive heard in a long time. Words to the similar of - I cant remember saying that, why did you want that cable anyway, your independent freesat specialist is talking nonsense, send me the cable back so I can check myself, lying about taking cable himself from same reel a few weeks ago himself with no problems, I enlighten him that his wife told me there would be a delay due to insufficient cable in stock the day before Im meant to be sent the items, wierd how the same phantom cable reel existed 2 weeks prior, when quizzed he didn't know and said he never said that, even though it was him who rang me to confirm he was out of stock himself, what a numpty! Im basically being called a lier, he starts laughing down the phone at me when I say I'll buy decent cable of 100 metres for £34, whereby I ask him what he's laughing at he tells me that amount of cable he charges £75, I ask why and am told he's got to make profit somewhere along the line! The bafoon then says hecwants backbthe cable to assess himself, to which I reply 'what so I take down calecand clips, send you the cable back for you to check, then decide if Im a lier or not? Goes all around the houses, trying to prove Im at fault, when clearly I have faulty cabling!
The oroprietor is a lier himself, an amateur sky novice who fobs a customer off, blaming their kit for the fault, I even say my aerial guy will back me up and explain his findings, only to be told by the proprietor he isn't interested in a second opinion from a non customer! Surely Im the customer bending over backwards to get to the root of the problem! Really bad customer service, its sell you the kit and dont give a s'hit I think.
Definately avoid at all costs, the money Ive spent and now to put right, I could of had a qualified installer installer install all the freesat equipment cheaper!
Shonky businessman and woman for sure!

Excellent Service.
I was a little concerned about ordering from satgear.co.uk as I could only find one (negative) review online. To give some balance, I thought I'd write a review as I was very happy with the service.
I ordered a replacement Sky minidisk and LNB kit which was needed urgently the next day. This was dispatched and delivered on time, was very well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. I was also pleased to receive tracking details on the evening of dispatch.
I was really delighted with the quality of the kit. Looking at various internet suppliers, it seems that these items are produced by various manufacturers. I chose this retailer as they specified that the dish was manufactured by Raven (the same brand as my original dish installed by Sky). Excellent instructions were supplied and the kit was easy to assemble and fit.
Overall very pleased, and I wouldn't hesitate to order again.

You Couldn't Make This Up.....
From a promising start, with email requests for information being returned promptly by phone, it all went steeply downhill.
I ordered a portable satellite system which was in stock and 'available for despatch today', according to the website. The money was taken straight away from my Paypal account.
After four days, I phoned again to check it was being despatched and to try and establish a delivery date. There seemed to be a problem with their warehouse (they said) and all they could tell me was it was 'despatching'. I was promised next day delivery with no extra cost and was advised to phone two days later if it hadn't arrived.
Of course it didn't, and I phoned yet again. Yet another different member of staff said it hadn't actually been put on next-day delivery, but that he would action that straight away.
I said I needed it to take on holiday two days later, so it was no good to me if it didn't arrive the next day.
And of course it didn't, so i phoned again to cancel. I was told the member of staff needed to check it could be cancelled and that he would ring back.
Of course he didn't, so I emailed the only girl I'd spoken to before ordering who did seem to know how to do her job and cancelled the order.
She emailed straight back confirming the cancellation and refunded my Paypal account.
The whole process took seven days, five emails and five phone calls, and I still didn't get my satellite system.
I actually bought one for less from a caravan accessory shop the day before my holiday.
There is nothing in my experience to recommend this company, unless you want to waste a week waiting in for a non-existent delivery.
Satgear need to get their **** in gear.
