Good Value Products But Dreadful Service - Avoid
In January we purchased a tumble drier. Let me say now that when finally received the product was excellent. The issue is the company.
On 1st January they took my payment for the item that was in stock.
On 6th January they emailed to apologise for a delay with their transportation company - ok fair enough, these things happen.
On 7th January they contacted me to say there was a delay and offered 2 alternatives that exceeded the spec of what we had ordered - at no extra cost. Excellent I thought, except neither were acceptable .. one was a condenser tumble dryer vs vented that we had purchased, the other was massively inferior with worse spec. So, I advised I would either wait for stock to come in, or await better alternatives.
After calls and emails to chase progress, no response, until 28 Feb. Still no stock, but they do have the exact same model in a different colour! Why did they not offer that before - great I thought, lets get this delivered.
They replied as follows:
"We apologise for the delay and apologise for the delay in getting back to you via your ticket, we were looking in to it for you. Please be assure that this isn't a normal situation where there is such a long wait with the stock. I will switch your appliance over to the TVEL75C6G which we will get in this coming week.
Due to the amount of time you have been waiting, your order will be made the highest priority for next time we are in your area and the transport team will call you 24-48 hours prior to your delivery to confirm your time slot once the route is finalised."
OK - not great, but apologetic and seemed sincere. I'm in no great rush (thank god), so await delivery in a week.
Fri 8 Mar - I receive a message saying the order has been shipped and will be delivered on Monday morning. Typical - I cant be home. I picked up the message after 5.30 on 8th, and the transportation dept was closed til Monday afternoon - so the delivery couldn't be changed!! So, contacted customer services on the Fri & Sat and they noted the issue and promised to get the message through for me. I asked for 48hr notice of delivery slots so I could reconfirm - "no problem" they said.
To cut a long a story short - I then got calls to my home number (not my mobile as supplied) with next day delivery times, all received too late to amend. A farsical situation then continued for 3 weeks before we finally made headway and they called the correct number to arrange a delivery.
Throughout this the customer service team simply said what they needed to, empty token apologies, no action taken, and ultimately no real apology.
so - they don't know what they are selling, don't have the stock they offer for sale, have no communication skills and a dreadful delivery process.
Awful.
Thank god the damn product works!!
If the recent reviews here are true then I'm not surprised they have gone out of business. I've left them 34 months to respond to my complaint before posting this. Silence.

paid an extra £25 for premier delivery only to be left with a fridge freezer on my doorstep in the pouring rain.the delivery men refused to bring it in the house as it was too heavy

After weeks of no goods I was finally given a delivery slot - GUARANTEED - having phoned through for feedback.
I stressed that I would be making a 14 hours round trip directly off night-shift to meet the delivery and didn't want to waste the journey if there was any possibility the van would not turn up. They GUARANTEED it would be OK... this was on the 9th May....
I got an email on the way - on the 10th - saying they had CLOSED DOWN on the 9th!!! The same day they were lying to me about delivery... So, insult to injury, I lost 2 orders AND made a 14 hr trip for nothing...
SHALL WE TAKE ACTION??? Contact me - we need to coordinate an operation to bring them to some kind of justice... I can collate all complaints and present a collective case to relevant authorities..
From what I can see there are HUNDREDS/thousands? of us affected by this company....

Ordered goods and paid for goods, never given a confirmed delivery date, cancelled after 3weeks, still waiting for refund, after 6 weeks If you have or know someone with a similar story, please let Trading Standards know . He is the trading standards officer investigating this company. Help to stop this company spreading misery.

Got a good price for fridge.
Although when I phoned, they said it would be 2-4 weeks to deliver I thought I would get it sooner as the site said "in stock"... But they made the effort to deliver sooner, got it in 2weeks

Extremely Rude Delivery Drivers - Such Poor Service !
Ordered my Samsung American Fridge via Ultimate Appliances. Even though the fridge was out of stock at the time I was kept informed on a delivery time for which was honoured. I was really impressed with the sales service but the delivery drivers let me down. I paid for a two man drop and they did not comply with what I paid for. They left the appliance on my doorstep and refused to offer any further help in placing the appliance into my house. Fair enough if would have been difficult but not impossible to deliver the fridge into my house. There were 2 drivers and myself to help but they just didn't seem to care. I am now left with a 100kg fridge on my doorstep to move by myself for which i cannot do. I have paid for a delivery service for which I did not recieve.... utterly dis-appointed with the actual delivery. Would Like a refund on my delivery charge.

I was attratcted to Ultimate Appliances initially on price based on a web search. When I rang to place an order the model I wanted wasn't due in stock for another week but the sales assistant was very helpful talking through alternative brands in the same price range and I settled for an alternative product for immediate delivery. Everythiong went exactly according to plan with delivery on the next available working day at the time specified and with telephone calls from both supplier and delivery driver in advance to confirm the times. Very happy with the tumble dryer, the service and the price.

Warning-please Read!
Bought two dishwashers 3 weeks ago, no email confirmation/receipt - 1 arrived a week later but delivery men misplaced second. Telephoned and was told would call back to discuss-didn't. Ask to speak to a manager, they don't have one! Said needed items asap as kitchen being plumbed and fitted, said they only deliver once a week... after guaranteeing delivery - they delivered the second dishwasher to another customer! I asked for my money back, they reported that money takes 30 days to be returned. They then called to say they had a dishwasher for delivery but the packaging had been damaged, when it arrived it had clearly been used, was damaged etc. Three weeks later they have not resolved situation. Thankfully I purchased via credit card and they are now involved to get money returned...fingers crossed we get our money back!

First Class Service
My order was for a LG washing machine. Ultimate Appliances were the cheapest I could find and the order was completed within a week which was great. They also took the old washing machine away without additional cost. Excellant service all round.
