Never Again!!

Ordered a part from this company & I believe it was never posted. They told me they sent a second item which didn't arrive, then they promised me a refund 'because we're not sending a third part out'. Abysmal customer services...they don't respond to emails & don't return calls. When I rang, the receptionist would ask why I was ringing, before always putting me through to the same guy who was unhelpful.

The refund didn't appear, but thank god I paid by PayPal. I took a dispute out with PayPal & spare saver ignored this. A refund arrived the next day when I escalated it to a claim!!

Ordered a part from this company but was constantly told there was a delay in delivery.

You may get lucky if the parts are in stock and are OEM, if not .....

Never got the parts.

Never got a refund.

Customer Service is a waste of time.

The Worst Distance Selling Company I Have Ever Dealt With !

Having ordered an accessory for a Dyson, after the initial order confirmation, communication was abysmal. I chased the order some ten days later and was told it would be due in the following week.

Phoned after that week to be told it would be in from their suppliers the following week.

I cancelled the order due to the unreasonable delivery time and total lack of confidence that the goods would ever be delivered.

Every attempt to get a refund has resulted in being fobbed off or just ignored.

The only other communication I received apart from the order confirmation was this bizarre email from customer services following my first complaint.

Hi Mr xxxxxx

Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay in your order.

We have recently had a ‘wonderful’ new integrated stock control system which is supposed to make transactions much simpler. In fact it has created an absolute nightmare. This ‘wonderful’ new system is marking some orders as sent when in fact they were not, some orders as ‘awaiting packing’ when in fact they have been sent and allowing incoming emails through to us intermittently.

We should have your completed order with you within a couple of working days.

Once again sorry for the delay.

Prompt delivery, but after sales and communication very poor, the item was faulty and sent back at our expense and we always had to phone or email as they never got in touch with us even to let us know they had received it back, we were told if the item was found to be faulty then it would be replaced and sent to us at no extra cost, when the part eventually came in approx 7 weeks later he then demanded the postage, when we argued that we were told no charge would be made he said they guy we spoke too was an apprentice?, yet we were lead to believe he was one of the managers? he had an attitude and couldn't care less what you said, he kept saying read our terms and conditions!, eventually we got our money back, would not recommend using this company.

Disaster. Website states 2-3 days delivery. They debit account at order stage. It took 2 full months to receive the item. No email notification that parts were out of stock. No communication when delivery would take place. I emailed a number of times and got no reply. Then began phoning, always told that the order would be shipped later that week. Finally received notice that the order was shipped but after 2 weeks still not received. I real debacle I would not wish on anyone. Avoid!

I Wish I Had Read The Reviews Before Ordering From

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering from this site. They are awful. I ordered £40 worth of Kirby accessories. They took the money straight away and I heard nothing for a week and a half. After emailing them 3 times I eventually received a reply, saying the item had now been posted. When they arrived one thing was missing. I have emailed them regarding this and heard nothing. Since it was only a small item missing I may just forget it isnt worth the bother. I guess I was lucky to receive anything. Please do not buy from them unless you have money to throw away.

First Item I Bought Was Fine. Second Was A Disaste

First item I bought was fine. Second was a disaster: I ordered a genuine Dyson hose and they sent a cheapo replacement. They did not acknowledge that it was a cheap replacement and the invoice gave the higher cost of the genuine item.

Quality was poor so I sent it back, first class recorded delivery as per their terms, requesting in writing the item I had ordered. Discussed it on phone with the manager and he said the genuine item was out of stock and would be delivered in a week or so. Fine. (Note that you could place an order for the genuine item on their website and it did not indicate that it was out of stock.) Then they sent me ANOTHER cheap replacement!

I sent that back and again requested correct item in writing. Eventually the correct item appeared.

Each time I had written to them with the returned items, I asked for a refund of my postage costs, as per their published terms. After five separate requests, by letter, email and phone, and a promise by the manager, I had still not received any refund of the postage for sending the two incorrect items back.

So, I wrote to them detailing my dispute and all of the contacts. I threatened to pass the information to their local trading standards office if I did not receive the postage refund within 7 working days.

Lo and behold! It worked! This took about 9 weeks from placing the order.

So, in summary,

1. This firm appears to take orders for items that it doesn't have in stock

2. It supplies cheap replacements for genuine spares without telling you

3. It expects you to comply with its terms for returned items but doesn't refund postage unless threatened.

By contrast, the Dyson service centre was very helpful, told me how to identify a genuine Dyson hose (semi-circular release button, not round) and would have been no more expensive for this item.

I would not touch SpareSaver with a very long barge-pole!
