Poor Delivery And Customer Service
Harridge Stoves provide very poor customer service and delivery service. It took 4 weeks to deliver our stove. We were told it would be delivered using a specialist delivery service. In reality this service consisted of one man who proceeded to ask me to move this incredibly heavy stove. As I have a bad back I refused. Also I fail to see how it can be my responsibility to move it. As a last resort it ended being put in my campervan as it could not be lifted into my house. The campervan was accessible as the pallet could be raised and slid in. Also the stove was not sufficiently packed and effectively the cardboard box was slid on top of the stove which left the legs exposed on the pallet. Subsequently the legs have suffered damage.
The whole experience is unsatisfactory and a Harridge stoves refuse to take responsibility . They are happy to give you the run around and the main person avoids your calls. Harridge stoves blame the delivery service and unsurprisingly the delivery service blame harridge stoves. In fact the delivery driver said 'these companies will promise you anything to get your money!' Recommendation indeed from the delivery driver!
Overall a really poor service which looks unlikely to be resolved!! Avoid.
