Listen To The Reviews!!!

Quoted £17700, rang up to book in and was told over the phone the price is now £16500 due to issues with the website over quoting cars.

Please do not go down without along up before and getting a form price to stop a wasted journey.

This company is obviously set up to take advantage of people in a desperate rush to sell their car.

Outstanding Service , No Hassle And Great Price

This was such a great experience. John Walsh at Wimbledon was friendly, helpful and made the process very easy. I was only there for 20 minutes and my car finance was paid off while I waited. I was offered much more money than 'webuyanycar' and was given the money that was promised online. I was sceptical and prepared to have to negotiate , but I needn't have worried. I will definitely use this company again should I need to.

Easy Process, Decided To Do The Deal.

Sold my car to a chap at the Irlam branch, very surprising, My car was quite clean and he only pulled me on 2 kerbed wheels which I couldn't really argue with, also let me off on some light stone chips on the bonnet because of the cars age. overall I was happy as there were a few other bits he didn't pick up on. If you looking for an easy sale then consider these guys.

No Hassle, Very Pleased With Service

It was a very easy process and wish I had taken advantage of it earlier. After a few weeks of trying to sell the car myself, I went to this website and found they offered a very reasonable price for the car. I decided to try it out and I was very pleased. John Walsh was very professional and straightforward, no gimmicks (process took about 15 mins and money was in account in 2 hours). I would highly recommend to anyone!

Friendly Staff

took my saab into the enfield branch today, my saab is in very condition and the man that dealt with me said it was a nice car but unfortunately when we were on the test drive and unknown to me the back window had stopped working (a bit embarrassing, as its winter i hadn't used them for months maybe should have checked all electric windows before i went) as a result of this we could not get to the lowest figure i was prepared to take for my car although we was very close. what i realized chatting to the buyer was that the valuation you get on the website you have almost no chance of getting even if your car in A1 condition as the computer that gives you that valuation doesn't take in to account what he called "the human factor" so if you have a large engined car your not going to get the price your quoted as not many people buy gas guzzlers these days. As i didn't get the price i needed i had to walk away from the deal this time but i will mention it wasn't frighting as i was lead to believe after reading reviews (not so much about this site but car buying websites in general) and would do it again if needed. people who go to these "no hassle car buying sites" should know they will never get the price quoted on the website but if they are happy to take revised quote then it would be a very quick and easy sale, those people like me who are not in any great rush to sell and don't get offered the price they want should just walk away like it did and don't get pressured into selling too cheap.

They Turned Away My Car...

For a site that claims they buy any car..... well I got turned away today with a Mercedes SLK which I drove there. No it was not falling apart, in fact I don't even really understand.

Anyway, make if it what you will, but to me it's just another company that does not deliver on it's most basic premise.

This was at the Wimbledon branch where apparently the franchise owner is based. He is strangely aloof and not what I'd call friendly. All in all, a strange experience and basically a waste of time.

Avoid

OK, I am fully aware that this business is in business to make a profit and fully understand that I will not get "book value" for my car. After reading some reviews I half expected what was going to happen, but the means that they went to only spell one thing to me....trade in desperation and dodgy as hell representing the worst aspects of the motor industry.

The car was a six year old Porsche Boxster which had been looked after very well, done 51,000 miles. Of course I look at my car especially if I am going to try to sell it....the bonnet had a small paint chip and in the past someone had done some hard polishing which if the sun was out and you looked at the right angle you might detect. It was there when I bought it and not a problem for me and there when inspected by a competitor of trademymotors who didn't see it as an issue either. I also had it evaluted at a place offering to put the car on their forecourt as well. So, after the inspection by trade my motors, it was suggested that the car needed a respray. Told needed two new rear tyres. Again not mentioned at competitor. Then told that the car was not fitting the franchise's profile - then don't offer to buy it from me head office - and it would have to be "underwritten". Cue, adding on a third parties cut. The effect of all this was the offer was cut from £10639 to around £9500. But this fitted wth what I've read where it seems typical that trademymotor offers to respray every car!!

Much worse, and this added insult to injury, was to follow. The discussion had taken place in the office. The car was in an inside part of the garage to allow the inspection to be carried out as it was raining outside and the car was out of view. Two guys working in the garage were there all the time the car was left in the facility. I returned after declining the offer and found a 2 inch scratch on the front passenger side top panel which was not there before. I only saw this around an hour later when back home otherwise I would have been more assertive on the spot. Guess what...when I returned to my car the two likely looking mechanics were huddled close together to my car in the exact area of the new scratch! Put two and two together and hey, now there's a scratch justifying the respray.

I wish I would have noticed the new scratch put there for me at the time as I tell you I would have called the police.

Oh yeh, another funny thing. The inspector asked me to flip the bonnet to have a look at the engine. Well if this guy was an experienced professional in the automotive industry as the trademymotors website claims, he would have known that the engine of this car is under the driver and inaccessible. Sort of makes the claim look dumb.

I would just avoid this operation. Some benefit of the doubt, maybe it was just a very dodgy franchise. Kettering.

“treated Us Fairly”

I would recommend the service; Mr. Mick Lovett was extremely helpful to us. Given the circumstances that we found out our car was a write off, which was a shock; he was most concerned and treated us fairly.

Yet Another Order Without Any Hitch

I sold my card through TMM knowing full well that I wouldn’t necessarily get the best price however it saved the hassle of advertising and then waiting around for the inevitable tire-kickers to arrive and try to beat you down on price. The price I received was slightly lower than originally given on-line however I was fine with that as I probably was a little sketchy with the detail of some bodywork damage. John Hudson who met us there was courteous, friendly and really pleasant to deal with. Most of all, you didn’t feel as though you were being stitched up. Would definitely recommend these guys - they are what they say so as long as you're aware it won't be the highest price you could get, then go for it as it really does save a huge amount of hassle.

Farsical

I was quoted a reasonable price on their website and booked an appointment. The car has only one small scratch. We drove with two cars for 1 hour 45 to get there only to be informed that that the price now is 1500 pounds less than quoted on the website. John at south London said it was not his fault and that the website overestimates low mileage cars. I think they are fly by night

John came back to us and offered us a higher price and we accepted even though lower than the initial. There seems to be a blip on their website and John said they would look into it. To settle he offered us what he again sold the car for, thus not making money. Altruism or market reviews? I'll give him the benefit of the doubt!
