Beadles: Combative And Dishonest

Having test driven my choice of vehicle I wanted the best deal. We were given a price of £25K. Car Wow beat that deal by £4K at the same dealer, Beadles of Bromley. Our original salesman told us that the deal was invalid because they were withdrawing from the partnership with Car Wow and would not honour the discounted price. They wanted to add a further £1000. The salesman was not only rude and confrontational, but he became aggressive. I am furious at the way I was treated especially as a returning customer having leased a Motability vehicle from them some years ago.

Avoid.

A Week Ago My Husband Arranged For Beadles To Come

A week ago my husband arranged for Beadles to come and collect our car for repair as our was leaking oil/water and our local garage had recommended a head gasket change. Trusting that "authorised service centres" would do a fine job we got Beadles to look at our car. They told us they needed to strip down the car to assess damage first and called back to say that the coolant system needed replacing at a total cost of £1250. If we didn't want to continue this work they will simply put the car back together and accept payment of £400 for labour charges. My husband called back to ask if there were further changes required and if we can get an estimate to repair the car. They said they couldn't confirm this without changing the coolant system. After much deliberation we decided to risk it and they called back to say the car was repaired now and if wanted to continue with MOT testing. When we agreed they called to say it had failed and needed further £250 worth of repair. Having gone so far, we agreed to this. They signed of the total payment at £1404.30 and returned the car this week only for the delivery guy to tell us the coolant was leaking from the radiator and it needed repairs as well. Obviously that was part of the original problem that they were fixing which they did not bring to out attention at the outset but as usual will not take responsibility except to say very vaguely that there was a "breakdown in communication". They are now claiming that we only agreed to fix the coolant and not the radiator and they are not responsible if the car is not unusable. Apparently it is not obvious to them that anyone in their right mind will agree to spend £1400 on a car that cost £3000 five years ago only to park it at home because it needs addition repairs that they failed to mention before we spent all that money on it. If you do plan to go to them to repair your car, please make sure you have lots of money in the bank and a really deep desire to get conned.
