Terrible!! Avoid!!!
Website looks so professional, but ordered a book - very, very late on delivery, ignored all emails and calls, took money and received a substandard product weeks later than I should have!! Cover was curled up and paper was not good quality. Absolutely terrible - wish I could give them zero stars! Avoid at all costs.

Avoid!
I ordered two books from their website costing nearly £300.. i had no confirmation of my order, no receipt and had no way to get in touch with them not realising there was no phone number or address on their website. I sent emails to their customers services to cancel the order and get a refund a couple of days after ordering the books as I hadn't received any confirmation of the order and I had found these reviews.
My email was ignored and over a month later I received an email from moore print in London blaming a server error for not receiving my order and they where rushing it through production. I managed to get in contact with Kieth who had emailed me by ringing through moore printing, he apologised profusely and stopped the production of my book.
I asked him about my refund and he said another department would deal with that and it wasn't something he could put through. I'm still waiting on a refund and I'm glad I went locally as the books where for my final degree show.
Luckily I paid on a credit card so as a last resort the bank can get my money back.
But this company clearly has a professional and slick website that makes it appear to be of a bigger and better qualoty
I've got a similar problem, just ordered a book but received no email confirmation. Am left wondering if they will print or not and those are expensive xmas presents!
Do you have a contact number you could share? I've tried emailing their customer services but no repply so far. Unfortunately paid with debit card :-(

Do Not Use This Company!!!
Do NOT order books with this company. We ordered 3 books, which are now over 5 weeks late and still not arriving. There is no phone number or email on the website and they simply DO NOT respond to your contact messages you send via their site.
It took me so long to set up the books via the software they use and I spent hundreds of pounds. So angry with them for ripping us off. Please do not use this company anyone.

Avoid At All Costs - Awful Awful Awful
Ordered a book via the ubyu website 2months ago. Despite taking over £120 for my book, and sending out an automated email over a month ago saying my book was on its way by next day courier, have recieved absolutely nothing. Have contacted them 4 times via their website but have never had a reply. I'm not surprised their facebook and twitter accounts have been deactivated - I assume the majority of their customers were taking to social media to find out where their orders were.
I'm now seeking legal advice to attain reimbursement. They are advising I send a letter by recorded delivery offering them one more chance to sort the order by a particular date, after which time I can pursue legal action.
FYI, their address as registered with Companies House is:
UBYU LIMITED
PO Box POBOX 3310
126 FAIRLIE ROAD
SLOUGH
BERKSHIRE
ENGLAND
SL1 4PY
Also, if you paid for your order by card, the below might be useful:
As you have paid by card, you may be able to seek a refund from your bank or card issuer if they have a chargeback scheme. You should check the terms of your account and if a chargeback scheme is provided, submit your claim in line with those terms. We recommend that if you are unsure how to submit the claim you should start by following the bank or card issuer’s complaints procedure, specifically using the word chargeback. You should ask that the matter is resolved in a timely manner.
Not all card issuers operate such a scheme, and those that do may have different terms. Although there is a chance you might not be covered, in the past there have been many examples of consumers obtaining a successful outcome by approaching their card issuer in this way.

Hi there! Sorry to hear you've had a similar experience. I can't believe ubyu are still allowed to operate and take people's money! In a nutshell, my book never turned up, so I got it reprinted with blurb, who are really great and professional- book even turned up early. Best bet would be to chat to your tutors about it. If you can show them you sent it to print on time and explain ubyu basically ran off with your money, and show that many people have been let down by them, I'm sure they'll be understanding. And it's not like ubyu were always bad -my course at LCC used them to print all our final major project books and they were fine, which is why I went back-it's not something you could have foreseen! To be honest I never pursued getting my money back, but if you talk to your bank/credit card co about the chargeback, you might stand a good chance. Good luck with it all!
Hi i have recently ordered a book from there too i didnt read all of these reviews beforehand unfortunately! I was just wondering what happened in the end with your book? Did you get your money back?
My books were meant to come on monday and i ordered them three weeks ago and the book is meant to be for my final submission from university and my deadline is next week so i am kind of freaking out reading all of these reviews, as if i dont have my book on time i am at risk of failing my three year degree! The money was taken out of my account straight away as well so i dont even know if i can get a refund i really dont know what to do! So i was just wondering what happened to you with everything?
Thanks

Terrible Customer Service
I have used Ubyu twice, despite receiving terrible customer service on the first attempt the product quality was very good so I gave them a second try. I wish I hadn't my books are over two weeks late and noone will answer my emails, there is no telephone number on their website and no way of getting my money back. Needless to say I wont be using them again.
You are not the only one. My book did arrive, late, just after Xmas, despite paying a next day delivery fee. The book had printing errors throughout - large marks on almost every page. Countless emails and tweets yet no response. Likewise, no way of getting hold of them, apart from through their website. I think they have a registered address in Slough, but can't find a number for it.
I have seen others that have taken to Twitter as they have not received their books either.
Terrible product, even worse customer service, premium price.

Promise A Lot, Deliver Very Little
As a photographer I like to display my work in print so I decided to give Ubyu books a go. Ubyu's marketing literature promises "an exemplary service to those who love books and care deeply about quality". Ubyu's website states "Our mission at ubyu is to seriously raise the benchmark in online book creation".
I have used various on demand printers for books and would describe myself as experienced at designing and ordering these products. I'm a professional photographer working with a calibrated monitor and am used to working with colour profiles.
I ordered a large hardback book at a cost of £100 and waited eagerly for the book to arrive. When it did arrive I was very disappointed with the quality. As a benchmark I had sent the same book to another printer for comparison. Firstly the Ubyu book had numerous scratches on the pages, some pages were bent along the bottom edge, all pages had tramlines running through the centre. The images printed very dark and lacking in saturation compared to the book supplied by another printer.
I emailed Ubyu customer service with my concerns and found the real issue with Ubyu is a total lack of customer service. The email back spoke of "alleged" damage to the book and how Ubyu have thousands of happy customers. Maybe, but what about my damaged book? After many emails Ubyu said they "thought" they might have to reprint my book - no thanks, too little too late I will have a refund please. Dean at Ubyu customer service informed me Ubyu policy is no refunds, which to my knowledge is against the Sales Of Goods Act.
I have a book fit for the bin, Ubyu have my money and an illegal policy of not refunding for goods which are faulty and not fit for purpose.
I just ordered a book, I feel bad now, I sent some emails but nobody reply!!!!!!! Will it be delivery on time?
