I have been trying to remove my details from Two's Company for over two years!
I have just had yet another email from them (at 4:15am!) offering a weeks free contact with the adviser who no doubt is also trying, or more likely given up, getting her details removed from their system!
Do not even give these people your email, this along with your phone is required before you can even view any of the site. Should you be foolish enough to get that far you will find the ghostly listings of the sad and vulnerable people who got trapped in the Two's Company system years ago, just like me!
You have been warned......ripoff ........and....... you may be granted the opportunity of sending me messages at no charge for a week! Yippee!

Pay 3 quid to find the message you've been sent just says 'hi how's your weekend'. Another 3 quid for another 5 word reply to my fairly detailed response. Only half the message I sent her shows in my 'sent' box so don't know if she got it in its entirety.
6 quid down, learnt my lesson.
Got nowhere, same maybe as on POF but at least that's free.
Their software creates an awful, pompous, profile statement. Have changed to my own but the one I've written and saved on my profile is not the one seen by users.
Avoid like the plague. Total rip off.
I have looked to see if there were any comments about this outfit since trying to use their response numbers over the past five days without being able to get any contact with them at all. I would suggest that anyone who subscribes to this agency that they contact Trading Standards since they seem to be taking money from people without anything to show in return.

The £3 payments are there for members who do not wish to commit to a credit card subscription. However full subscriptions are available for as little as £12 per month if you add a photo and record a voice message.

Not Great Not Worth The Money
i had got to know a couple of nice people over the web site, then getting messages to them and for them to send me a message became a problem, we tried to solve the issue from both ends but the problem was with twos company, and replying to text messages from them is expensive..not great..wont be renewing my membership its a shame because had some nice chats when the web site was working

On joining the site , I gave my mobile no. for alerts which are free ! Some weeks later I was going on holiday , so emailed the site saying no more text messages untill further notice due to holiday . Whilst in Spain got 6 messages ? Responding to these alerts costs a fortune £1.25 per minite mostly spent listening to recorded company blurb !Text message replies - have to send 9 before can exchange details , so at £1.50 a text , that too is a waste of time.They send messages ignoring age or distance requirements , and most are not possible to delete . Think twice before joining is my advice .

Not Really A Dating Website In The Normal Way You
Not really a dating website in the normal way you expect, this is just a collection of profiles and you can reply to them by phone or by sending a text message, very limited and the site used to be different and have emails and other features a few months ago, i hope they bring them back
Good Points: All the profiles are local which makes a nice change, photos are real and not full of impossibly beautiful fake profiles
Bad Points: No email or IM options, there isnt really much to do on the site and its probably under the wrong category here, but what can you do?
I didn't have any luck when replying to people on the site, but I did get 4 replies from people (and have met 2) when i put my own advert on there, so I would recommend to others

This site is a rip off! Don't respond to adverts as it will cost you a fortune!
Im trying to cancel my advert and come off the site, i have sent emails and telephoned but still i keep receiving text messages from the site.... please hear me now... i want to leave twos company....
I found this review not helpful because... It doesn't really say anything about the site does it? Clearly this person has issues but doesn't state what they are? This website is just for browsing random profiles, there aren't any subscription parts to it so I'm not sure where the 'rip-off' is?
Two's Company is sorry that you feel this way and would invite you to call our Customer Services team who will be more than happy to offer you free access to the service as a goodwill gesture and to show you that it is not a rip off. (The number can be found at the foot of the twoscompany.co.uk page.)
The most cost effective way of using our service is to become a member by placing your ad for free and providing your mobile number. Once you receive a reply to your ad you will be notified and only then do you pay £1.50 per minute to listen to your messages. There is no joining fee and the service is effectively 'Pay as you go'. Our valued members also receive regular promotions such as Happy Hours, when collecting messages is just 25p per minute.

In The Past Twos Company Was A Good Local Site, No
In the past Twos Company was a good local site, now it has deteriorated as if the only process for the site is to make its owners "loades of money". Its so bad that some would says its very near a scam.
Example 1. you place an ad you get no actual responces but loades of matches. The intro to listen to these matches goes on several minutes before you hear info designed to "milk your money" at a cost of £1.20 per minute- the process cannot be hurried and often cuts out leaving you to phone in again.
2. You sign up for text alerts you get a responce (does the sender really exist), you have to put their code in and reply to a code number- in the majority of cases this text message costing £1.50 (yes £1.50) is followed by a rejection, you try again-rejection. If you get through your contact details are remove and £15 YES £15 has to be spent to make contact. DO NOT USE Twos Company
Two's Company would like to respond to the above review by assuring all its current users and prospective users that it remains a good local site. It is fully compliant with all Ofcom and PhonePayPlus regulations and by no means a scam.
In answer to example 1, we can not guarantee every advert receives a reply but every advert will appear in print and online for a minimum of one week and longer if requested. Listening to matches or receiving match alerts direct to your mobile is optional so it is not necessary to listen to them. By registering your mobile number you can be alerted when you receive replies to your ad, so you only need to ring the £1.20 per minute line and listen to that particular message. The review mentions that the phone often cuts out - if this happens please ring our Customer Services Team and let them know the number you dialled so that if there is an issue it can be rectified.
In answer to the second point we guarantee that every ad is 100% genuine and always accompanied by a voice greeting.
When using text reply the reason for replying to a code is to protect the mobile numbers of our daters and details can be swapped after sending 5 text messages at a cost of £9. If the format of the message is entered incorrectly, for example spaces are not left in the right place, a free message is sent out to inform the texter their message has not been delivered.
I hope this answers some questions and Two's Company would ask the reviewer to contact our Customer Services Team who would like to offer tips on using the service and free access as a gesture of goodwill.

I Was Originally On This Site When It Was With Smo
i was originally on this site when it was with smoothe soulmates i found it good i didnt meet the strange people that you normally do , was expensive as you had too send five texts too get a mobile number . then it just dissapearred with no explaination , i have recently recived a text from twos company saying they were back online , i tried too get onto webb site tonight with no luck . maybe ill just stick too be single x

Two's Company would like to thank you for your review and explain the reason for the site's sudden disappearance and hopefully - if you are still single invite you to give us another go.
Back in April a company called g8wave Ltd. went into liquidation and they were the service provider for Two's Company, this took us by suprise and meant we had to stop our service completely. It took Two's Company a few months to get back online and in print because we decided to look after every aspect of the service ourselves so we wouldn't be reliant upon another service provider. As a newspaper company the first sites to go live were those linked directly to newspapers e.g. www.dailyecho.co.uk/dating and twoscompany.co.uk followed several weeks later to direct user's to singles in their area. Apologies that the text was not clear but the service was fully operational at that point.
Lastly, if you had an ad with us in April we can access it on our database should you wish to advertise again so there is no need to re-record your voice greeting.
We hope that explains the disapperance and hope you give the new service a try.

This Site Has Been Off-line More Than It's On. I
This site has been off-line more than it's on. I have only been on here a few weeks and will not be renewing. I tried to have a look at my profile four days ago and there was a problem connecting to them. They have not been online at all over the weekend and now today, Monday, they are still not live. Don't waste your money - Twos Company is awful.
Two's Company would like to apologise for the problems you experienced with the site in April. As you may now be aware this was as a direct result of the liquidation of g8wave Ltd. who were our service provider and was not a reflection of Two's Company's success. If you held a subscription to the site when it went offline you are able to claim back that money from the administators; their details are as follows:

Two's Company Is Very Expensive For Me - Disappoin
Two's Company is very expensive for me - disappointing in my case as in my experience there is the same old adds, same people, often using different names as far as I am concerned! Infact in my opinion the only good point I have to make is it's easy to use! Therefore I do not recommend Two's Company.

It's been a couple of years since your review but on the off chance you are still looking for that special someone Two's Company would like to invite you to try the service again. We have recently relaunched and we are very proud of our service. We are aware that in the past people have placed more than one ad but this is something we are working to eradicate.
The ads are also fresh each week and are only placed on the page when they have been actively using the service.
