Looks Good But Lack Of Information About The Team That Develop The Website

I have been doing my project in evaluating the educational website. For BBC Schools, everything seems look good but they fail to introduce their team that designs the content of this educational website. At least, BBC should inform the users who are the major people that leads the team, e.g, the team leader (like professor or PHD holder in education), background of teachers, programmers etc. Otherwise, base on what authority BBC Schools can claim that all the content in this educational website is reliable, valid and updated according to the national syllabus? Further, the BBC Schools website does not give any credit to third party information used (may be 100% developed by them without even referring to Wikipedia). I have emailed to BBC but the reply is they unable to answer me as they are too busy with all the feedbacks they receive everyday. The arrogance speaks loud.....wonder wheter BBC really listen to the feedbacks as claimed by them in the website.

The Bbc Education Sites Are Very Good - Schools, B

The BBC education sites are very good - schools, bitesize... They contain text to read, and quick tests which you can do on the internet, and they will mark them for you. You can also print out mock papers for SATs and GCSE, and the answer sheets. This is all extremely helpful for anyone facing an exam, or just wishing to generally revise. It is suitable for all age groups and key stages, as there are different sections for each. The website is set out well, with good use of interactive features. A great educational resource online.

The Bbc Education Website(s) Are Very Informative

The BBC Education website(s) are very informative and have helped me a lot when I have needed to revise for my GCSE exams. I must admit that they are not the best website around on the net for revising, however they do come in helpful to revise the main points needed for each subject.

The BBC has many different subjects to choose ranging from I.C.T to Relegious Education. Each subject has different sections to choose from to explain different parts of the subject. For example with the GCSE I.C.T page there are many different sections such as 'Databases', 'Data Communications' and 'Implications Of I.C.T'. I particularly like the way that the BBC has laid out its website as each section also comes with a glossary, exam tips and also exam practice - a good bonus! Furthermore, the BBC website even has a 'revision checklist' so that you can keep track on the revision that you have done - you can even print it off!

The BBC learning websites consist of many different areas such as the 'S.A.T's Bitesize' area, 'GCSE Bitesize' area and so forth. Even though they all cover different content, they all have one thing in common - the 'SOS Teacher'. This is where you can ask a teacher for advice and/or help with anything that you need ranging from homework help to exam advice. I have used this service (as its free) and I have really found it helpful. The teachers that the BBC use are professional and do not necessarily give you the 'answer'. They enable you to think on the 'right-tracks' so that you can solve the problem yourself - which I find really useful!

All in all the BBC websites for education are a good and useful tool to have, so now you have read my review try them out for yourself!

The Bbc Has Well Written Educational Activities Li

The BBC has well written educational activities linked to the national curriculum. Most of them are fun and the children in my class like them (I am the ICT co-ordinator for a primary school). Furthermore, they choose to view them in their spare time (an excellent way of making revision fun).

All you need to do is visit the site and you will be able to find activities based on the curriculum your child will be learning at school. They are categorised by age to make this easy.

Also they are free.

I agree. The BBC Education site is a very easy to use and informative site, although better sites do exist!!
