I wish I could give a minus rating for this company. If you are thinking of registering a domain or hosting with them....don't!!!

I have to agree with most of the posters on this thread: Extendnet seems to be going downhill fast and a sure sign of this (and in any company) is the lack of support and the lack of *any* kind of response to support requests. The last time I received a reply to a support request to Extendnet, maybe a couple of years back, it was a late reply, short, and of absolutely no use whatsoever in resolving the problem. But at least I got *some* kind of reply that persuaded me someone was actually there. Recently I have been ignored completely on no less than FOUR separate occasions, on requesting support on three different issues which only they as the web host could answer or resolve. Nothing but the instant standard reply, 'we have received your request', etc. But an actual answer to any of my queries? Not a word. This attitude shows utter contempt for the customer and I will be moving to another host at the end of my current hosting period. In conclusion, when Me2UWeb ran this hosting service it was very good, with fast, helpful support when needed. Extendnet have not come anywhere near the same standard and it seems to me they can't even be bothered trying to. So I'll take my business elsewhere: contempt for the customer really doesn't do it for me. I thought and hoped I'd be with the same hosting company for good, but really cannot recommend this host to anyone any more, sadly. Two stars for the value for money, as their prices for hosting are very competitive, but with absolutely no support, what use is that?

I paid the invoice to renew by bank transfer on the due date and simply got automated email reminders to pay. I replied to each of these emails to tell them that I had paid and these were all ignored. One week after I'd paid, my domain was suspended. When they did that, I logged on and raised a service request with high urgency - that was over 24 hours ago and I have had no response, other than automated mail to say they have received my email. Never had any problems when they were me2uweb. Starting to think I should move my business elsewhere...

User lost his password, clicked on the link to get a new one, no mail arrived, no ability to log on so cannot enter a support ticket, no email address for support, only email address for sales, sent sales an email asking for helping getting password reset, no response, password reset mails suddenly arrived but all links in them were deemed invalid, new password reset request made, no mail arrived, mail sent to sales asking for help, no response, ... and so it goes oon ... and oooon

eXtentnet does not reply to my emails. For some reason I cannot log in, I have answered the security question a dozen times but it does not work. I have asked eXtendnet to help me out because my subscription will expire in a few days. No response at all (this has happened before). Maybe they do not need the business... There's nothing I can do now so I'll wait for it to expire and then move on to another company with better customer service reviews.

I've been with them for about ten years, since they were Me2UWeb, but I'm giving up on them. I have a number of hosting plans, one of which is due for renewal but they won't respond to my request to downgrade the package for renewal. No reply whatsoever, although the deadline is now up. Therefore, all my business will be moving elsewhere. They've been getting steadily worse at responding, and generally less helpful.

The actual email service provided is OK. However, whereas support used to be slow but OK, it is now non-existent. I have a simple query over changing my account. All outstanding tickets get closed with no response. Shortly to become an ex-customer. Stuff them.

Tried to email a couple of times as there us no phone number, nobody bothered to get back to me! Will not use them again!

Can anyone tell me how to escalate a support ticket with Extendnet?? i have had two tickets outstanding for 2 days - no one has even looked at these yet.

Have been experiencing problems for some time. Decided to try to get to the bottom of it then received a message on my screen from Extendnet saying that a firewall was blocking the service to my server. It quoted, Ultra 10. The message continued: 'Contact Support'. That's a joke! Support is none existent and there is no telephone number that you can call for help. I didn't realise that this was such a tiny company - 109 hits a day! if these figures are true.

I have three website hosted with this company and up to 15.20 on the 30th May 2013 I have had no complaints whatsoever however at the time of typing my websites are offline, emails are not working and I cannot access the extendnet website; I wonder what is happening? Is this just a glitch? ....... I hope so!

As at 15.40 Extendnet, my sites and emails all back online, just a flitch, sorry Extendnet *****

I am delighted that I have just received an email from Extendnet who obviously monitor posts here, well done! 5 stars to you :-)

I used Extend Net after being recommended by a friend. The hosting was setup as soon as I ordered it and the support they give to me to load my site was brilliant. I looked for ages for a cheap hosting and think the infinity starter plan I got is the best value.

I host my business website with Extendnet and have had no problems with the service. Whenever I have had any set-up problems they have been able to help. I use one of their basic hosting accounts with a couple of email accounts which I am able to access from my office and on the move with my phone. Nothing negative to say.

Just stumbled upon this review site and it brought back the bad experiences ive had with this lot. Most recently - renewal time was approaching and i wanted to downgrade my package but despite numerous emails i got no response whatsoever and had no choice but to continue with my existing far too expensive package. Id forgotten how angry i was!

I can only agree with the previous comments, there is no service. Don't use them.

Was amazed to see the previous reviews as I have been a customer for a couple of years and have always found them helpful whenever I have needed assistance. Recently they had a complete outage on the server hosting my account and managed to move my account to a new server in a matter of a couple of hours. Obviously I would prefer not to have had any downtime, but seeing as what I pay for my web / email (£21 for the year) works out at about 6p per day I can't grumble at a couple of lost hours really ;-).

I have been with Extendnet when they used to be known as Me2UWeb, but for the last 2 years I have found their service is to be nothing short scandalous. No response to numerous support emails, can't access my Cpanel login, and the email used is not recognised by the service any longer. My emails went down over Xmas and so far has only partially recovered. Beginning to think that the company might be going under. Avoid this company at all costs.

Whatever you do, DON'T sign up with this eXtendnet! They used to be called me2uweb and then they were OK, but now they have been bought out or taken over, they are TERRIBLE. I have just transferred over to a different host as their customer service is terrible and the way they run their systems is incredibly incompetent. For instance, whenever my mailbox was going over quota (which was constant because the maximum limit was so low), they would send an email to my backup email address (not the one that was going over quota - duh!), but set the sender name as my own email address for some reason instead of something sensible like 'eXtendnet customer support' so of course it went straight into my junk folder each time and I had no idea why my domain emails kept bouncing!! As if that wasn't stupid enough, when I finally realised what was going on, I logged in to the control panel and tried to go into the mail manager to delete the email backlog - but it wouldn't let me in, saying 'email over quota!' OH MY GOD. So I had to locate the mailstore through the file manager and go in and manually delete all the emails. EVERY TIME the tiny expensive mailbox went over quota. I did get replies to my support tickets but they were often terse, rude and unhelpful. When I finally got fed up and went elsewhere they wouldn't even bother to unlock my domain or provide EPP code or anything. I am really annoyed that I stayed with this company for so long, and I really hope that their awful service means that many other people leave too when they realise how much the company has deteriorated since being taken over.

"I did get replies to my support tickets but they were often terse, rude and unhelpful."
Wow, you got a response?! You seem to have managed to do something most of the commenters on here have failed to do, i.e. get any response at all. But yeah - terse, rude and unhelpful responses are pretty much as useless as no response at all...

Do NOT use www.Extendnet.co.uk Their support is non existant They don't reply to emails There is no phone number, only a fax Do NOT use.

Customer support is NON EXISTENT. They just don't bother to reply to reply to support requests.

I just moved away my last domain from them and I had to pay Nominet to do so as their customer service is non-existent. I opened a number of tickets and no response. They could not be bothered to change my IPS tag so I could not transfer the domain. When they were me2uweb they were quite good and I had a few websites with them and even recommended them to a friend. About two years ago I started moving my websites elsewhere and that was the best thing to do. Now I feel free after I removed my last site from them. I want everyone to be aware that they do not care about their customers but do care about your money. I decided to give them a little test and I sent them an email to their sales team and as you can expect - they responded within hours! Support requests are ignored but when there is a chance for a new sucker they will answer. Steer clear of them and do not waste your money. There are better service providers with more space, databases and a customer service. Please do spread the word about this appalling company.

Extendnet are the pits. The only effective way to deal with the atrocious level of 'service' they provide (the only way they'll take any notice, that is), is to move to another host, which is exactly what I'm going to do shortly.
