we booked a holiday to Crete for myself, my wife, sister her two 16 year old children and 79 year old father. this was at the end of June this year. We were booked all inclusive in the sun and sea hotel Hersonossis . We were dropped at the Vasso hotel we tried to explain this was not our hotel, but were told by an inebriated manager it was our hotel. It was awful, on the main road dirty and run down and people were complaining at the 24 hr bar. we contacted the emergency helpline and were told to ring England in the morning. We thought well, we have to stay the night as it was now after midnight, we were then told they did not have 3 room for us, showed us a dirty basement which smelt of sewage, then withdrew this, this left one dirty room on the second floor for 6 of us, the solution was to have us all walk down town then up an alley and left in a bar while they tried to get rooms for us, we ended up in two rooms in an awful place. any way the next day we hunted down the hotel they had sold us and they said they have never dealt with teletex. We booked ourselves in.
Teletext did not do any thing for 2 days even after repeated calls.
we have now been fighting for our money back for months now, the directors have been approached directly and will not reply, we were offered £50 each compensation for a ruined holiday. We have given Teletext every opportunity to fix this but they have failed. There helpline and customer service are not fit for purpose and feel the only problem is we lost out on all inclusive deal.
we now have to follow this up through legal routes. We have the media interested and have sent a transcript of events to a well known TV programe. Any one else who would like to let Teletext know that ruining a holiday is not an option please contact me.

WE were walking the streets of Hersonissos at 1am with our suitcases and taken to a sleezy bar whilst the inebriated hotel manager negotiated two very poor rooms for the 6 of us. NO FOOD NO DRINK, after hours of travel. One old not well 79 year old and two scarred 16 year olds. A great start to a nice holiday.
AT no point after WE sorted our accommodation did any one from teletext call to see if we were OK. Months later we are offered £50 each compensation.
THEY DO NOT GIVE A DUTY Of CARE.IF anything goes wrong their help line is unable to help, we ended up with over £100 of phone bills to teletext.
ON TRUST PILOT reviews 30% of people booking through teletext had a bad or poor experience.

I have traveled with many travel companies sometimes budget sometimes not. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a customer services and the worst holiday experience EVER.

THE COMPANY HAVE BEHAVED SHAMEFULLY.

THE DIRECTORS ARE TOO BUSY TO GET INVOLVED
IF YOU BOOK THROUGH TELETEXT THERE IS PROBABLY A 30% chance you will have a POOR EXPERIENCE.
