Likely the best out there

After using Kinetico water purifiers for years and being very happy with them, my first choice for a water softener was also a Kinetico one.

However, after a bit of research I found that, on paper, the claimed specs of the Twintec S3 were superior to the equivalent Kinetico 2020c.

I decided to embark on a thorough analysis of the differences. Each manufacturer made statements about the competitor's machines that were completely opposite. Not being able to obtain from them confirmation of their claims from independent sources I asked both Kinetico and Harvey Softeners if they would be willing to let me try one of their units for about a month to test and verify their specs myself.

Harvey Softeners was not only willing to take the challenge but also very keen on the idea. They gave me access to Mr. Harvey Bowden himself, who was very very helpful and committed, and to their engineers who visited my property.

Kinetico, on the other hand, was not so willing.

After trying the S3 and after the engineer's visit that helped explain some results I was happy to confirm that all their claims were absolutely true. Perhaps, the pressure drop while regenerating is a bit higher than expected. Other than that, all performed exactly as the stated specs claim. Being these specs superior to Kinetico’ s, I decided to keep the S3 for my London home and purchase a further unit for my home in Spain that I will be testing in the near future.

I cannot tell about durability yet, however, after extensive work, my conclusion is that the Twintec S3 is likely the best water softener in the market.
